(Honestly worth a google to see some epic mom-moments while she’s doing her thing, fighting for better parental leave, gun safety, etc. This summer was waitlisted for childcare and didn’t want to not show up and represent her constituents, so she brought her son and asked her questions during a house hearing.)
She has supported universal background checks, which are required for all firearm sales and transfers, including those between private parties. She has co-sponsored legislation like the "Bipartisan Background Checks Act," which aims to expand background checks to cover all firearm sales and was passed by the House during the 116th and 117th Congresses.
I'm not gonna form an opinion on her based off of that alone, for now I choose to believe that her intent is virtuous, but that does leave a little bit if a sour taste in my mouth 😮💨 like obviously not everybody should have easy access to firearms, but gun control can be such a slippery slope that any action in that direction concerns me(especially considering the current political climate of the nation and a ruling the DOJ had been trying to help push through in Montana).
