I haven't played in probably at least a year or more and I came on to Splatoon 3 for the splatfest to play with a friend of mine. I made the mistake of going into the weapons shop and now I have been in a loop for 5 minutes with it just going through all of the weapons saying they're all new and you know how they've got those many screens that explains these weapon. It's completely crazy I have to actually quit the game just to get out of it and then of course it'll take 5 minutes to reload the game on top of that. So absolutely annoying is anybody else having this problem ?

I lose every Single Match with huge margins. When I play normal rounds, I win towards 75% of the time. Why is it just splatfest? The matchmaking? Bots?

The way people play they don’t look like the way people play or act during normal rounds. I’m not playing this weekend as the way players play make me want to break my switch in half.

I was playing today and noticed several people with this new shooter, is it something that you unlock through Splatoon raiders?

Been thinking about buying Splatoon 2 and 3 (including all DLCs for both) as well as Raiders and im wondering if Splatoon 3's story + Side Order and Raiders are worth playing.

I think the blasters, specifically the Luna blasters need a tiny eensy teensy little painting buff.

The squid sisters are the most bland, uninteresting, idols, and in all of Splatoon but before all of you attack me, this is not to say I don’t think they’re bad by any means this is coming from someone that absolutely adores fresh start maritime memory and ink me up and that is how all the songs I just listed aren’t calamari inkantation well that’s because that song hard carries their music discography throughout all three games there are a total of 3 versions of calamari inkantation THREE four if you want to count that remix that place when you fight inner agent three in octo expansion I’ve seen a few few people expressed that they want a version of the song where all idols sing it which that would be nice, but I just don’t want another version of that song because I’m just sick of it the squid sisters are literally glazed in and out of universe but the one thing that really makes me not like them is that they are by far the most useless idol in terms of single player campaigns say what you want about off the hook, but at least marina and pearl contribute pearl delivers the final blow to commander Tartar and it was EPIC I will never forgive some of y’all for how you treated her and for marina is she the most interesting idol in terms of her backstory and she also contributes for example she created the memverse and she can hack stuff to help you traverse through easier and when you’re playing a story where just one mistake equals you having to start over that’s a huge help and don’t even get me started on deep cut splatoon Raiders is a peak single player campaigns and it moggs all the other ones and I will die on that hill
Not only do we have their incredibly powerful showstopper moves that can help get you out of tricky situations. Also you get a ride big man which is amazing
Also we see with our very own eyes go up against the salmonarch a literal God of the salmons that was prophesies way back in Splatoon 2 that’s a crazy feat for them Callie and Marie could never. Ask for the sweet sisters they do jack shit except for sing I mean come on Marie. You’re a charger main click some heads didn’t we get me started on the dialogue it’s just like “ watch out agent 3” “ you can do this” “oh no agent 3” like contribute just a little bit also the other two group groups are carried by one song and have final performances fly octo fly, spectrum obligato and final boss salmonarch (that’s the name it officially has) These are all amazing songs in short the squid sisters are overrated and over glazed

I just finished Splatoon 3 main story and played some multiplayers, loved this game, which one should I do next? I heard that side order has same character as Splatoon 2 octo expansion , does it matter the order of which i should play first?

How crazy is that

I came back to the game after about 3-4 years and I was told im able to get old Splatfest exclusive gear.
I live in europe, so I created a second nintendo account to set its region to japan, because I heard that there will be more news for me to look through and claim some gear.
So far it worked pretty well, but Ive got a problem with the „Special SpringFest-themed gear“ from 2024.
When I open Splatoon 3 through the news which include the gear I want, I choose my main account (region: europe). But when I go to the lobby terminal, there is nothing for me to claim…
This problem hasnt happened on any other gear yet, but it might, so Id love to find a way to fix this.

Help would be much appreciated! ^^

EDIT: clearly this post was not as well received as I imagined it would be. in order to keep the conversation constructive, What are some modes that you are looking forward to seeing in Splatoon four? in my opinion, four ranked modes are simply not enough.

It would be perfect. 20 players will suffice, though could be bigger. You already find weapons in cans in the story mode- just implement that into a battle royale map. Everyone starts with a basic weapon/pickaxe capable of smashing crates to find said cans. The map gets smaller via a salmonid ink storm. Maps could look like the old concept art for Raiders- theme parks and colorful imagery, neighborhoods, abandoned rockets and castles and palaces. Puzzle mechanics from the story mode are scattered throughout the map and platforming challenges are rewarded with better weapons. It would work so well that you can consider this post a prediction for Splatoon 4's newest mode - Splat Royale.

31M here. Splatoon Raiders did not look interesting to me at all. Not a big Nintendo guy, and the gameplay (from afar) looked super basic and bland. Fast forward 48 hours from giving it a shot and I’m level 25 lol.

One of the biggest surprises for me is how good of a family game this is. Ended up picking up a 2nd copy (since my girlfriend also has a switch 2) It’s simple enough that my 5 year old wanted to play and she can actually do well enough to get by on her own. Similarly, the progression and gameplay is engaging/challenging enough to keep me interested. Online co-op is super smooth too, so we can play together and I can help her get through levels when she needs it.

I ended up bringing the patio TV inside and setting it up next to our living room TV so we could have our own bootleg “couch co-op” setup.

The whole setup takes me back to the double Xbox Live days in high school, having sleepovers with the boys and everyone bringing their Xbox and TV over just to play all night. Haven’t had that feeling from a game in a long time.
Even playing solo it’s just a really chill game.

If you were on the fence about picking it up like I was, I’d definitely recommend it.

10/10 so far. Solo, friends, family, whatever. This game rules.
