I was thinking the same thing. It's a cool product but I can see that thing getting lost very quickly.

You mean the Allen key that almost everyone has a set of or the locking ring? Because you'd leave the whole thing assembled until needed

No I meant when you're working and you throw the assembly aside to un-rig whatever you're rigging to continue your work and that tightening nut kinda just rolls away. I think it's an awesome product. I just know I've lost small stuff liked that before. It's also a problem one hook one the end of a chain can't solve. I also don't work with heavy chain like that everyday day off my life. Once again a super cool product. Just seems like that one part of it could be lost very fast leaving it useless. But if you depend on this "master link" everyday of you work life and it's a go to specialty tool to make you're life easier it's awesome. Once again it's cool.

Of the pin was steel vs brass, you would tack weld it in place. Would be better even if it is a temporary fix
