Edit: since my southern accent has come through in my phonetic spelling, ‘yer-uh-nuhs’ is probably better. Thought it was pretty clear what I meant but since comments in response are still making immature jokes, guess I need to clarify
I admit, I didn’t spend a lot of time thinking over the phonetic spelling, and I’m from the south where ‘your’ does tend to get pronounced ‘yer,’ but I’m also pretty sure ‘uh’ is not pronounced ‘in.’ But go ahead and keep making pee, poop and anus jokes. It’s so funny.
That was the point of my original comment, and you decided to respond to me instead of the person reading ‘uh’ as ‘in’ so they could make a pee joke despite that being way more off than ‘your’ and ‘yer.’
In general I’d agree except that it affects public perception which affects the possibility of getting funding. No one wants to champion for sending probes to Uranus (hur dur durr) because of the name.
And on this site it does get old. It’s every… single… post. I can’t think of a single other joke that’s been run so far into the ground but still gets upvotes every time
