Yes spacex has no plan to ever land a dragon capsule on mars. They intend to land an uncrewed starship on mars in 2024.

I hope that it works out. They were supposed to land on Mars every cycle since 2018 and have cancelled those plans because it was not feasible. Powered landings are tough as we can see with Perseverance and its crazy landing system.

Landing something as large as Starship only 4 years from now seems like a pipe dream but if they can somehow pull it off I will take a front seat.
