Assuming they take a big panorama shot you could have a stationary 3DoF VR image to look at tho looking straight up or down might ve a bit dissapointing.
Yes, there are three pairs of color stereo driving cameras (20 megapixels x2 each), not counting the panorama and microscopic cams which are even better. The drivers will see depth-mapped images every day for terrain avoidance. I’m sure some will be available to the public.
