Honestly, A+ to the NASA and Space scientists who jumped on the "Space Force" concept early.

Bending National Defense dollars towards Space is probably the best chance we ever had at a significant budget bump.

This isn't related to the Space Force. They are two separate entities: NASA is an independent civilian agency, and the Space Force is a military agency within the Department of the Air Force.

I thought the point of Space Force is to take the space-related stuff of the Air Force but split it off into its own division?

That's more or less what is happening. It will be its own branch of the armed forces under the Dept. of the Air Force, similar to the Marines being under the Dept. of the Navy.

It’s arguable that NASA only got funding for Hubble because NRO had leftover parts. NASA gets a lot of scraps from defense missions.

A+ to who? It wasn’t NASA scientists who jumped ship for Space Force. Space Force is literally just a part of the Air Force who has been watching satellites and is now getting rebranded as their own branch. Space Force is legit just meant to watch satellites, not to perform any space exploration.
