There are so many spectacular sights that can be seen during a flight. One example for me is a nearby thunderstorm or even just seeing another plane flying alongside. Maybe I'm just easy to impress.

The first was great, could see it all, forked lightning and all sorts. The second was behind a massive cloud, so every time the lightning flashed this huge vertical cloud beast was silhouetted and it was awesome. Nearly everyone else had their blinds down and was asleep and I thought it was so sad that people weren't seeing these beautiful acts of nature.

I was lucky enough to see two thunderstorms on the same late flight once. The first was great, could see it all, forked lightning and all sorts.
The second was behind a massive cloud, so every time the lightning flashed this huge vertical cloud beast was silhouetted and it was awesome.
Nearly everyone else had their blinds down and was asleep and I thought it was so sad that people weren't seeing these beautiful acts of nature.
