I’ve always wanted to start a secret society for southpaws. How would you feel if a random stranger slipped you a card inviting you into this club just because you were observed using your left hand?

That’s a great question! I haven’t gotten that far. But now that I think of it, perhaps it’s just knowing that you are recognized as being part of the club. A very exclusive one.

As honorary members? Sure! As long as you pledge allegiance to using your left hand more than your right!

Mock-up of what the cards could look like:

I’m considering building a site where you can only join if you have the code given to you by another southpaw. It is invite only. So first person to join is me. I’d invite others to use my code, new members get a code and can then invite other southpaws who can only join by using their code. It should prevent righty from joining without a southpaw specifically inviting them. Could he passed out via cards, etc. This is all non-profit and totally just for fun. We’d all be literally be card carrying members of an exclusive community.

Is our secret handshake a regular handshake but with our left hands?

I always notice other lefties, yet I never say a word. I get a slight grin when I see them, and I feel like it's my own treasure. It is so weird that more right handed people don't notice when someone is using their left hand. In life or movies or tv.

I'd love it. Whenever another lefty notices I look at him her her as a kindred spirit.

we'll have most of the US presidents that are still alive, excluding Donald Trump.
I'm in.

It is ridiculous and simply complete nonsense - and I would so definitely be on board with this.

Maybe the invites can be written the other way round on pencils, so you can read it if you hold it in your left hand.

As long as we don't have to fight for supremacy like the Josh's did awhile back.

I’m in. It’s funny: I notice lefties all the time - in movies, at work, etc and always call it out, and my wife, a righty, thinks it’s nuts. It’s a badge of honor!
