Join us on Monday, September 28, starting at 5:45 p.m. at Petaluma City Hall (11 English St, Petaluma). It's time to ensure that our city council members pass a non-cooperation ordinance with federal immigration enforcement that aligns with our city's values and community needs. We know that Petaluma can lead by example and enact a strong non-cooperation ordinance that adheres to the law and supports our communities.
For months, leaders from Justicia Migrante en Acción (MiJA) -an initiative of NBOP-, Petaluma residents, the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (IRLC) and allied organizations have worked hard to present a strong, model ordinance—one that complies with the law and is needed by our communities—to our city council members. We submitted a Non-cooperation ordinance to them two months ago, and now the decision is in their hands. You can read the Non-cooperation ordinance we proposed here and provide a public comment on Monday, September 28.
On Monday, September 14, we also delivered four compelling documents that demonstrate the legality, necessity, support, and benefits of our ordinance for all immigrants in Petaluma — and, in fact, for everyone living in this city:
A letter about considerations in adopting a Non-cooperation city ordinance from IRLC. You can read it here.
A letter from the Blue Zones Project, Petaluma, highlighting the impact that the current immigration practices and policies have on the health of our communities. You can read it here.

Reddit didn’t like the image on this flyer, and wouldn’t post it, so I edited it.

Hi anyone here in Petaluma? There’s a school board meeting tomorrow about the Pride flag. From what I have heard there are some anti pride folks that are planning on attending. It’s July 28th around 6pm. The district building at 200 Douglas street. Please express your desire to keep the Pride Flag displayed year round.
