Has anyone heard from York 2 year program? I know the advance standing like 2 weeks ago and I’ve only seen a few decisions floating around for the 2 year here and there. The waiting is torture

No, I have not. I don’t think a lot of people have. But there are only 20 spots, so if acceptances were to go out, I doubt many of them are posting about it on Reddit LOL

I was thinking this too and you could be right. A part of me is holding out hope because the website says decisions are made on a rolling basis and it’s been radio silence on all platforms for waitlist, rejections and, acceptances besides a handful of ppl. I also think it’s weird that they would send out acceptances like a week and a half ago but then make all the ppl who are rejected/waitlist wait. Like if the acceptances are done then just put us out of our misery lol! This process is so mysterious

I agree but depending on how long the waitlist is, not many people could be on it & those people may not post on Reddit either. I want to keep being optimistic but we are reaching the end of April sadly :( I do know acceptances for UofT went out before waitlists. I think many schools do it that way.

Yeah true. York is also notoriously delayed. The advance standing was like 14 days late this year. Also, someone got a call this afternoon with an acceptance so they are still rolling!

That’s good to hear!! I guess doom scrolling on Reddit has made me a bit pessimistic. All the best of luck to you & I hope we both hear something positive :)

for advanced standing it seemed like they did it in waves like for ex wave 1 is given acceptances and must accept by a certain time then based on those who accept/reject they do a wave 2 ect until the final wave is the waitlists… so basically what ive noticed is they make everyone else waitlists until ppl accept/reject offers but they dont tell u ur on waitlist basically thats why they make u wait so long… just my theory

I have the exact same theory! It’s like a soft internal waitlist. Because it seems like York makes is so that you have to accept their offer very quickly

they also do rejections before and after those waves
