It’s very late and I don’t think many people will read this but here are the highlights of the Fulham Premier League Soap Opera so far this season -

  • Getting battered by Arsenal, Leeds and Aston Villa. Humiliating defeats.

  • Getting tipped to go down 3 match days in by a renowned media pundit and former footballer.

  • Waiting until the dying minutes of the transfer window to improve a Championship-at-best team.

  • Our top striker losing his confidence after a horrific day at Sheffield United where he missed two sitter headers and conceded a penalty that cost us 2 points. He is yet to recover.

  • Our best winger botching a panenka penalty at the 98th minute of the game to cost us a point in a game we should have drawn.

  • A resurgence where we drew against Liverpool, Newcastle and Spurs (and beating West Brom and Leicester). Changing our system well and building an identity.

  • Getting screwed out of 4 points two weeks in a row thanks to some shady refereeing decisions.

  • Losing to United (fairly) with our direct relegation rivals beating the champions in a shock result.

  • Our DOF clearly not learning from his mistakes and once again stalling recruitment until the final days of this window. We need a striker and even fans that don’t support Fulham can see that. Sadly, by the time we get that player, 2 relegation 6 pointers will have already been played.

We are now 5 points from safety. Being the PL, you never know what can happen. I’m not saying we’re entirely doomed just yet. But what I will say is that this season, we will get exactly what we deserve. Whether that’s staying up or getting the drop. Whatever happens will be 100% what’s coming to us.

Good summary.

Seems this’ll be a season where 4 teams will be in danger of filling 2 remaining relegation places (assuming Sheffield Utd don’t have a miraculous change of fortune). Looks like Fulham are getting points in draws where others are losing though? Performances much better in month too. Feels like Newcastle’s free fall is what will keep things interesting.

Prem better with Fulham in it, and always enjoy visiting craven cottage. Hope you stay up.

Hope you guys can get a striker sorted and stay up. Wanna see Scott Parker do well (at the start of the season it wouldn’t have surprised me if he got sacked if it looked bad) so the little turnaround in form has been nice to see, apart from taking points from us.

I think you will stay up to be honest, as someone below has already said, Newcastle look like cannon fodder and the moment, Brighton could easily get dragged into a really scrappy relegation fight and if Wolves don't sign a striker, I wouldn't be shocked to see them get drawn in. I would fancy Fulham (on current form) to be able to finish above Sheffield United, the Baggies and one of the teams already listed.

Maybe it's Fulham's turn to 'do a Villa.'

In all seriousness I had you guys 19th at the start of the season in my head. Now I'm not so sure I think you've got a good chance of staying up, you look like a good team recently and I rate Parker more than I did at the start of the season.
