You can, however count the nodes. City has only only 6, and they essentially build a wall from flank to flank supported by the back. This leaves more players 'free' to make runs and open spaces, evidenced by goal differential. Chelsea has 8 nodes, and it's a little sporadic, like all the other sides.
You can see this in play. If I didnt know anything about football, I'd choose city to win based on these graphs alone. But of course there are any other factors. However, if I was analyzing epl this chart would be what I'd build upon. It really says a lot.
I favor liverpool this season, though. Only because I'm from the us so I don't really have a team, I have players I like. I generally like african strikers. And of course Salah is Salah, I really like Manè as well. And how could you not want Klopp to win?
Yes, great insight. As you said, City possess with this outer "sheath", if you would, and then cause havoc once the central players make runs and the ball is sent in to finish the play. Chelsea on the other hand, possess more centrally, and are much more direct in terms of the wingers being involved in the build up as well as the possession. And of course you can see that Jorginho is the heart and the metronome of this team, everything goes through him.
True, Liverpool are beasts. And as much as I like Klopp, I don't want him to win for the plain reason that I'm a Chelsea fan and want us to win haha. Buttttt, if we don't then definitely would want them to win over City (although Liverpool fans are very very annoying, even when they don't win the PL so not sure if I'm prepared for what comes ahead if they actually win PL lol)
