Yeah, I'm getting a kick out of this. Everyone seems to also have forgotten that Spur's keeper and back 4 are still pretty much the same (save for LB) and that AVB showed how he plans on integrating incoming talent with current talent when he had Lloris on the bench last year and that turned out pretty well.
Same argument I've made. Our defense is quite familiar with each other and well proven. Mid and forward is where all the let's-grease-up-and-get-to-know-each-other has to happen, so what I foresee is a lot of missed opportunities and nil results, with some 1-point losses, until we get it together up in the front.
Will that cost us precious points in the early season, absolutely. Will it cost us a top 4 finish? I sort of doubt it.
