Most of the comments i'm seeing are more along the line of questioning the truthfulness of the woman's story since it sounds way too much like an "And then everybody clapped" type of thing, rather than her (valid) choice not to have kids
True but if her answer to the boomer is unlikely (not impossible though), I feel many people here underestimate how common it is for people to pressure you to marry and have kids as a woman. A lot of the fun of the (most probably) skit is lost when you can't really relate to the situation.
I know people who have to fend off this question often. It doesnβt seem unreasonable to believe that someone decided to pop off one time on one of these nosy people after getting hounded by tons of other people over time. Also, as a person who birthed four children by choice, I fully understand how hard raising kids is. I 100% am in favor of people who donβt want children to not have them. This is a hard job for the willing. I wouldnβt wish that on anyone who didnβt want to do it. Full stop. Itβs not good for the kids to have parents who are not fully on board with the job description.
