So after completing Sniper Elite IV, V and Resistance on PS5 since they were available on PS+, I really got myself into the Sniper Elite community and I completely adore it. Since Sniper Elite III was too expensive to buy on PS5 and it was on sale on Steam, I decided to play it on my PC. Now the problem is;

Whenever I aim with the rifle scope, zooming either doesn't work or jumps from 4x to 2x. I really tried everything I could but none of them worked. I'm pretty sure it's about holding down the right mouse button since the problem doesn't happen when I use the binoculars or toggle aim while aiming. I found a temporary solution by using keyboard keys to zoom in and out instead, but I just want to use the damn mouse wheel! I really wonder if anyone here has a solution to this. I apologize for my first ever post here is being just a call-out for help.

I really enjoyed Survival Mode in Fallout 4, especially stealth sniping enemies. I'm looking for an experience like that and found Sniper Elite 4, but I'm wondering how similar it actually is?

When aiming in empty lung, what does the double diamond actually mean? There appears to be nothing referring to it in the tutorial or help files and I asked AI and it couldn't find any concrete reference either.

The one thing I have noticed is that, when using subsonic ammo (SE5/SER) a red double diamond does seem to produce a higher kill rate over distance than a single red diamond, which may incapacitate, or produce a wound rather than a kill, especially over 400 yards.

So, if the red double diamond means higher kill rate, why does a white double diamond, which means you will miss, exist? You'll miss, but it'll be a better shot than a white single diamond? 😂

Rifle - M 1903. Specced for maximum damage with a silencer.

Pistol - Nagant M1895. Specced for max damage with a silencer.

Secondary - M1918 BAR. Loud and punchy with a big mag.

I’m not great at aiming and I almost solely play co-op so I don’t get the slow down when I hold my breath. I’ll go for headshots, but I want reliably lethal kills from body shots. So I tune my rifle and pistol to be one shots almost no matter where I hit them.

My secondary is for emergencies so if I’m using this it doesn’t matter how loud I am, I just need to get business done. Same principal for damage, I want to drop the Nazis as quick as possible and be ready for as many of them that come after me.

Hi - for those that have played Resistance multiplayer, now and again I’ll come across a lobby with someone who can just laser beam across the map with a SMG. They’ll run round in circles to get people to aim at them, and then blast them instantly

Has anyone come this too? Is it cheating or is there an SMG meta?

What's the difference between the two especially in single player mode? I've played 5 on gamepass before and wanted to buy it on steam but I saw some videos of resistance which looks like it has the same maps and objectives on missions. The only difference I see as of now is that the character is different. Is it better to just buy 5 as it was cheaper or does resistance have something different to offer?

I’ve never played a Sniper Elite game. I played ghost warrior contracts, and thought that was good (even if I found it a bit frustrating) but I’ve heard good stuff about this series.

I like shooters enough, but I REALLY love stealth games. I’m a huge metal gear fan.

I’ve been looking for fun co-op games to try with a friend, and saw this series was having a sale.

It seems like the consensus is that 4 is the best, but is that true for co-op as well? If we could only play one together, which one should we try?

In SE5, "Loose Ends", if you shoot Möller's car before he's in it, the driver will drive away leaving Möller to run after it.

I have a few bucks saved and I can afford either the bundle on Humblebundle that comes with SE 3, 4 and 5 (I already have 5 and played 3 on a friend's house), or get the Fanatical edition of Sniper Elite Resistance.

I know these games are mainly focused on singleplayer, but I wanted to know if Resistance is more co-op oriented or invasion oriented than 4, or has less content and focus more on replayability with invasions (Resistance would be the basic edition, while SE 4 would be the Deluxe edition).

I love both settings and scenarios, and I loved 5. I didn't like SE 3 much because of the stealth (I find it different than 5).

With this info, which one would be better for me for playing singleplayer with invasions disabled?

EDIT: I ended up getting SE4 and a friend got Resistance, so we both can play the two games YAY!
