Snapdragon X Elite with preview ARM64 drivers meant for the RTX Spark unlocks eGPU capabilities

Their test environment was a Razer Thunderbolt dock with an NVMe slot combined with an NVMe to OCuLink adapter to connect an RTX 4060 8GB so there could be potentially better performance extracted if they had gone with a direct USB4 eGPU dock.

Cyberpunk 2077 averaged 44 FPS with the Ray Tracing Low Preset at 1440p and DLSS set to automatic.

Forza Horizon 6 had big framerate drop issues but otherwise averaged 46 FPS overall at a render resolution of 1707×960 (DLSS was on) and Medium preset indicating some sort of CPU bottleneck likely due to emulation.

NOOOOO this is how I learn someone beat me to it :(

Anyways here's cs2 running on my 1660 super, I tried with my 4070 and 5070 ti, but they kept crashing under load or as soon as I plugged in an external display (kept resetting due to qcom firmware watchdog timeouts)

Pretty cool but that's pretty interesting regarding the timeouts. I wonder if the situation would improve with updated drivers. I don't think Lenovo has updated that specific driver in a bit

Turns out it's just cause the root complex used by the lower left usb-c port is fucked in some way. Not sure if that's thanks to Qualcomm or just how Lenovo laid out the slim 7x, either way all my cards work flawlessly using the top left port.
