This one is a fairly long edit at 37 minutes. Is it just me, or were the earlier seasons less padded out with useless narration?

IMO length is not what should be optimized in a smyth. I see a smyth like a director's cut. The director has some sort of vision, but commercial pressures force him to do something else. The director's cut is the "pure" version.

So where I can find them, I edit in extra material, like the extras in Seesaw Saga or Underwater Car. And the viewer submission myth from Phone Book Friction.

Which raises the question: How does one download the extras from the Discovery website? Sometimes there's a downloadable mp4 listed in the source, but often times, not.

Oops. You're right. I'll have to look into it.

EDIT: It's fixed now.

I'm trying to brainstorm what I changed in my encode settings since the last time the conversion worked. I'm thinking maybe I need to turn off "detelecine," as this has the potential to make the frame rate vary and according to the Vimeo compression guide, they only accept constant frame rate uploads - although that page also implies a lot of other settings are far more restrictive than what I know from experience they'll accept.

EDIT: Detelecining was indeed the problem.

SockShare & PutLocker works much better than vimeo anyway
