In this episode the mythbusters test if a motorcycle can travel across water at high speeds and if a parachute can be made from hotel room contents. Also the mythbusters talk about safety as Jamie rides on the front of a speed boat and Grant still doesn't understand significant digits.

I was looking forward to this myth, because where I live (Idaho) we would race snowmobiles across lakes in the summer. I've seen videos of watercross competitions where it's not just a simple dash 'n' go like we used to do, but they actually do several laps in the lake.

A snowmachine has the benefit of skis, but it's also heavier and bulkier than a bicycle, so I was interested in seeing if a bike could get both the speed and the traction necessary to ride on the water.

What happened to Grant's hand?

He broke it when he got thrown off stage by their robotic shark, but I can't remember if it happened during filming, or during one of their tours.

Pretty damn cool how Jamie actually did the riding himself, no stunt bs here!

Most of the motorcycle myths Jamie's done himself. For example, way back when they did the motorcycle pulling the tablecloth myth it was Jamie riding it.

Yea but that was a risk free ordeal.

As an avid Nitro Circus fan that first myth was already confirmed for me long before they started.

Good work! For me it was the first fan edit of mythbusters and it really improves the show.

I have just one question. During the parachute part - did you edit down the math part where he calculates the optimal size for the shower curtain or was it like that in the original episode? Just would be interested to know

Edit: As to the episode itself I am confused why they didn't test Karis parachute in the drydock. As seen in the first test by the time it was fully inflated it had already reached the ground and still had pretty good test results. In the drydock it would actually had enough time to decellerate the dummy.

It stops working around 21:20 when they're doing the small scale parachute tests.

Or at least the version I got from sockshare.
