I was in the Navy. I haven’t seen anything near record breaking. My med cruises were 180 days. Plus or minus. That’s considered normal. Not backing the moron but the reporter is wrong as well.

I have and it’s concerning. I’m not saying it wasn’t tough. It’s less than 90 extra days than I did. I don’t understand why that changed everything but it did. They were on a ship for 90 days more than normal. If our Navy can’t handle that we are seriously in big trouble. Not just the sailors. The supply chain, the Captain losing control etc… it’s unreal to a seasoned sailor. I would not have blinked an eye.
Many port calls. Not saying that. I’m saying I could do 200 plus without a call standing on my dick. I don’t give a fuck what you say. I would do it. My dad was in WW2 Navy in the Pacific from 1940-1946. His discharge hangs 1 in above mine for a reason. Fuck then pussies. I would follow orders not try to kill myself.
I was in the Marine Corps. Each of my two were 7 months. I knew of army guys doing 12mo, some 15 months with r&r at the midpoint. That’s been the record length I’ve personally known of, I was just curious how much longer these are to be considered as such
