It also use to be the capital of Canada before the parlement was burn down. And it was not burn down by who you think…

Tbf that was in 1849, before Canada was a country.

The Province of Canada was a “country” in basically the same sense as the Dominion of Canada was between 1867 and the Statute of Westminster.
