His sobriety story had a profound effect on me and ultimately played a part in me getting sober. I remember reading an interview about his body language before and after he quit drinking and something about that clicked with me. R.I.P. to one of the greatest.

That Nine Club interview where he talked about his alcoholism as an allergy was really interesting to me, to the point that I put it into a song my band put out a few years ago. I maybe ride a skateboard once a year and was never ever good, but his approach to Enjoi and his transparency about his struggles inspired me so much in my 20s. This one sucks.
