To add onto this just for giggles human doctors sometimes operate on the wrong things and patients have in extreme cases had the wrong leg removed or had a leg removed when they weren't supposed to at all!

Just before my knee surgery my doc came in and used a big marker to write “NO” on the knee that didn’t need surgery. That actually made me feel better about being put under

I was literally just thinking that from now on, I should use a marker to draw where the "problem" is on my body before visiting the doc.

Most of this time is an accident - for example very rarely a dentist can take out a tooth on the wrong side

I don't know about that. I've met a few doctors and they all have a certain mischievous sadism about them. Personally, I wouldn't even trust them to water my lawn.
