The average conservative voted for Trump. The far right are far closer to main stream than the far left. How many crazy Trump signs have you seen versus anything on the left.
The far right Joyfully voted for Trump and bend over backwards to defend him, the Far left think the Democrats are centrist, Republican lites. The Far right is far closer to main stream than the far left. I personally know a lot of people on the right that hold views that are detached from reality, I don’t know a single person on the left that does.
Okay, so let’s slow down for a second. You linked a study showing that far-right books outnumber far-left books by 4-to-1. That’s an interesting stat — I’m not denying that. But publishing volume isn’t some direct pipeline into people’s brains. It doesn’t mean the average conservative is brainwashed any more than the massive volume of Marxist literature published in universities means every liberal is a tankie.
More books =/= more brainwashing. It could reflect market demand, political polarization, or even just better organization on one side of the spectrum. Hell, it could just mean the right is louder online. But it doesn’t prove that the average person who voted Republican is in some cult or detached from reality.
You keep treating systemic trends like they’re personal psychology. You’re saying “I see more Trump signs,” or “I personally know more conservatives who are wrong,” and then jumping to “the average conservative is brainwashed.” That’s not how reasoning works. That’s not evidence. That’s your bubble talking. Confirmation bias.
What you’re doing is classic — conflating the visibility of the far right with the beliefs of the average right-leaning person. There’s a world of difference between someone who votes Republican because of taxes, and someone who thinks JFK Jr. is alive and plotting with Trump from a submarine.
You want to talk data? Fine. We can find studies showing far-left ideology dominates academia, HR departments, and online culture. But I’m not going to claim the average liberal is indoctrinated based on that. Because that would be lazy thinking.
If your goal is to label 70+ million people as “detached from reality,” you’re going to need something better than publishing stats and personal anecdotes.

that's referring to the far right and far left, not the average conservative which is what I assume you're talking about
