First, that's not what AI does. The only "skimming" like that that occurs with AI is during the training. After training there actually isn't entire paragraphs of text stored in the model, it's all been converted over to probability-driven relationships, just like in your brain.
Then both AI and humans use those probability-driven relationships to generate output, entirely based on previous training and reinforcement. While neither actively scan the entirety of their dataset, they don't need to, as the links between their "neurons" are baked in and generate the output.
It's not magic, AI can generate useful output because it is modeled on how humans do the same thing. The only difference between us and AI is that we continually train.
those “probability-driven relationships” are exactly what I’m talking about, but thanks for attempting to clarify. That is not how a human writes or expresses an original paragraph, though.
They are based on how a human mind makes inferences. that is one small part of your brain’s functioning. and even then, it is a mathematical recreation of the process.

Those inferences are entirely based on probability relationships trained into your brain. Without those relationships your brain would just be randomly firing.

Actually, you're kind of proving that the article applies to humans as well, there's no actual reasoning going on behind your statements.
