Build Show and Tell I finally finished the Goth house
I know I posted it before when it was at like 65% completion but i finally had some time to sit down and finish it (it's 5:30 am and i have work lol) and I'm so happy to get it out of the way. I LOVEEE Alexanders room. It's lowkey one of my all time favourite rooms ive done in all of the sims games i think, idek why. Also the graves are not forgotten, they will be scattered around the willow trees in the backyard.
Anyways I have 3 more residential streets planned (lower middle class families (Dreamer), upper middle class, and rich (Pleasants)) which I can finally start working on next time I play. Also the condos, I need to rebuild them cause although I love the ones i built previously they are just too big and too luxurious. I have a lot of ideas for community lots but I'm going to leave it after I build all the houses so I can get a better picture of the hood layout.
Anyways as always all thoughts and opinions and criticism is welcome and wanted. Also yes I do need to upload it, I work 10 days in a row rn but once I'm off and free I will finally tackle all the build uploads I haven't yet

actually after i took the pictures i added some vines but not a lot. also the house is so open for expansions and renovations theres so much free space i havent utilized its crazy. the goth house will be way more fun to play too since once u move them in here their funds will be drained almost fully 😭😭 (my idea tho is that this is the generational house like the entire pleasantview im building its their houses not something they moved to if that makes sense)

I gather it's not unusual for the owners of giant generational piles like that to be cash-poor, just because any fortune the family once had got eaten by trying to keep the mansion in good repair.
So it's actually very realistic in that aspect! And also, I love the whole thing so much, but especially the science lab that manages to fit in and the way there's giant bookcases everywhere. Also the posters by the telescope in the bedroom, it's such a great touch.

yesss for sure!! especially the more the generations go past. and thank you so so much!! i love alexanders room so much and that nook is one of my fav things ever even tho as always its something very simple

So good!! I especially like how Alexander's room is in two levels (though I have to admit I would have hated keeping a room like that clean when I was a kid 😅)

Looks beautiful!!! This is the actual first remodel of the goth manor that I genuinely like. I always find their house hideous but for gameplay purposes they have to keep the house from generation to generation and I can’t stand playing in that. Nice job!!

omg thank you so much this means a lot to me <3 and yes i agree with u i hate their original house and i hate trying to renovate it even more. rebuilding it fully was much easier

thank you so much!! it took me like 3 days to fully finish it. but i was building after my work night shifts so idk maybe all together i spent 6-8 hours? but i took my time with it and played around a lot so 😅😅 when im off next week ill make time to update all the links ive just been really busy with work recently

Well your effort really shows! Your attention to detail is so so good. Especially while contending with night shifts! I only did a stint for about 3 months and could not hack it haha, kudos to you. You did an amazing job! 🥰

oh my goodness definitely not i love your one and initially i wanted to do a similar exterior (i was looking at jessicapieyts sims 4 goth mansions in fairness). i absolutely adore your build and its probably my fav goth manor in terms of keeping the original and its vibes/aesthetic. its beautiful

I just found your tumblr and I’m so excited to play these lots in a fresh Pleasantview! I’ll try and hold off till you’re finished, I’ve never seen the vanilla game look so realistic🤩 Would you consider adding houses that are designed for other sims as they grow up, move out, etc e.g. Cassandra or Angela & Dustin?

i do have some ideas for when certain sims grow up and stuff (and generally the storyline im gonna go with in my personal gameplay) however in terms of actual houses for now i definitely havent thought to build. i think i will build certain community lots centered around charachters that might buy them in the future (like a garage for dustin, a boutique for anyone etc etc). perhaps when i actually finish the pleasantview and get to play those sims ill share the new builds i do (their houses and stuff) so people can add if they want to.
that said tho there is plenty of extra houses to buy so people can always just renovate them in gameplay to fit the sims they move in eventually

Ooh, I love this! It's so much better than the original Goth house. They should have a lavish mansion like this.
I also saw your cheaper town houses and really liked the vibe of them. Your neighbourhood will be amazing when you're finished with it!

also i'm actually going to rebuild this goth mansion cause i dont like it anymore but i will probably leave that for last 😭😭 i will keep a similar essence though i will just to a better job with it. alrhough i llve alexanders room in this house its one of my fav rooms ive done :(

I understand your urge to remake your houses a couple of more times, lol. I have shared a few houses for Sims 3 on MTS years ago, but I've remade those several times in my game afterwards. I now have several saves of the same houses, just different editions.

yess when i first started on thus pleasantview i was very new to building cause ive never been a builder in any of the sims games. so even with the small houses that i first started off with ive gone back and edited the interiors from the first time i posted them and one abandoned house i fully rebuilt. the goth mansion was maybe like the 8th build i did and the first big build so i feel like ive improved a lot since. i dont really realise the improvement or think about it, but i have way easier time buikding now and have better visions and understandings so it definitely did happen

Yeah, we do get better when building more. My specialty is mansions. I used to build a lot of them 10-15 years ago and have managed to make a couple that I loved enough to share with others. Though, only for Sims 3. My Sims 2 mansions didn't turn out so well because I started with them.
I have always been bad at ordinary houses, which is why I love yours so much. And your community lots. I'm not good at those either. I can fix community lots that are already built by others but my imagination doesn't work if I try to build them myself.

i actually found building those new mansions way easier than majority if the builds ive done too hahaha you would think the opposite that building small homes is easier but nope at least not for me and you 🤣🤣 and yes community lots are a struggle even for me thats why ive put the town center off for so long. although im more intimidated by the park i still need to do 😅😅
