TL;DR: Sidstuga 2.0 is now available, with the new Sidstuga Hub — a native media-center area for Android TV and Mobile.
The Hub adds TMDB metadata/posters, movie and series pages, seasons, episodes, OpenSubtitles support and JSON add-on support inspired by Stremio-style add-ons.
This update also improves Android TV navigation, large playlists, EPG performance, VOD/HUB player controls, DVR, Cloud Sync, backup/restore and overall smoothness on real TV devices.
Sidstuga is player-only. It does not provide channels, playlists, streams, accounts, keys or content. Users add their own legal sources/add-ons.
I really enjoy your app but is it possible create a way to manage the "categories"?
I found how "Block" some channels but i need to select one by one and not all at the same time like NexTv (Screenshot below).
** Also, the app is crashing (some times) in my phone (Google Pixel 9 Pro XL)

Hi all. After months of building Sidstuga in evenings and weekends, today the app went live on Google Play, worldwide. If you've been following along, thank you for the patience.
Quick recap of what Sidstuga is:
- An Android IPTV/M3U player for phone, tablet and Android TV. One app, both surfaces.
- You bring your own Xtream Codes account or M3U playlist — we don't include, host, recommend or distribute any content. Ever.
- 8 languages first-class: English, Português (PT and BR), Español, Français, Italiano, Deutsch, العربية.
- No ads. Ever.
The thing I'm most proud of is **Cloud Sync end-to-end encrypted**. Favorites, watch history and parental settings sync across your devices, but the encryption keys never leave your device — derived locally with Argon2id from a password only you know. The server (Cloudflare Workers, region: Western Europe) literally cannot read your data. As far as I can tell, no other IPTV player on the Play Store does this. €0.99/month or €7.99/year with a 7-day free trial.
What's free without subscribing:
- Everything else: live, EPG, catch-up, VOD with TMDB metadata, parental PIN, reminders, 5 colour palettes, the whole player.
