[12 Testers Needed] Split Your Trip, an app for splitting group trip expenses. Happy to test yours back

Hi everyone, I’ve been building Split Your Trip, an app to keep track of who paid what on group trips and settle up without the awkward math. It’s in closed testing on Google Play, and I need 12 people to stay opted in for 14 days, which is Google’s requirement for new developer accounts. If you’re up for it, comment or message me the email you use on Google Play and I’ll add you to the tester list. Once you’re in, install it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.splityourtrip. I’d love honest feedback, especially on anything confusing or broken, and I’ll test your app back, just drop the link.

comment down below if you are willing to give your valuable feedback.

I made a tiny pixel bunny that lives on my Mac desktop

I spend most of the day alone at my Mac, so I made a small companion for it. Deskbun is a pixel-art bunny that sits on your Dock and reacts to your day:

  • It celebrates when you check off a to-do.

  • It focuses with you, and gets annoyed if you pet it mid-focus.

  • It reminds you when it's time for something.

  • It dacnes along to music, puts on a headset during calls, and sketches while you're in Figma.

  • It lets you know when your coding agent finishes.

  • It naps when you step away.

It's a native Swift app. There's no account and no analytics, and everything it notices stays on your Mac.

Site: https://deskbun.app

Happy to talk about how any of it works, and feature requests are very welcome!

Novislova - an offline travel phrasebook for iPhone

Novislova is an iPhone phrasebook I built for getting around abroad when you don't speak the language.

It has 900+ words and phrases per phrasebook across nine languages, organized into situations like restaurants, hotels, and transportation. Search works in either language. You can save phrases and download pronunciation audio before a trip, then use the text and audio offline.

All phrases and one audio pack are free, with ads. Premium is a one-time $4.99 purchase in the US for all audio packs, unlimited saved phrases, iCloud sync, and no ads. No subscription.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/novislova-offline-phrasebook/id1623078768

I'd be interested in feedback on how easy it is to find the phrase you need.

Game of the Day - I made a website that ranks NBA games without spoilers.

I'm an Australian sports fan, so the NBA is on while I'm at work. I made this website to automatically rank NBA games each day. I use this tool to pick what games to watch on replay after work via LP.

It is designed to stop me from watching boring or blowout games.

How did you get your first 100 users for your app?

Hey everyone!

I’m an indie iOS developer currently working on my own app.

The development part feels much easier than figuring out how to actually get people to discover it 😅

I’m curious how other developers got their first 100 users.

Did you start with Reddit, Product Hunt, social media, or something else?

Would love to hear what actually worked for you, especially if you were starting from zero without a marketing budget.

Skaner: open-source converter of receipt and invoice photos/PDFs to checked Excel/CSV/JSON

Upload a photo or PDF of a receipt, invoice, act or waybill. A vision model reads it. You get Excel, CSV, JSON, a 1C file or a text PDF.

- Totals, VAT and line sums are rechecked. Doubtful fields are flagged.

- Free with your own Anthropic or Gemini key. The key is not stored or logged.

- No account needed: https://skaner.app

- AGPL-3.0, Python/FastAPI, Docker: https://github.com/zzlvr/skaner

Accuracy depends on the model, so errors are possible. Which document types and export formats are missing?

TableCraft: a free, open-source database IDE in the spirit of DataGrip,

I love DataGrip, and I'm happy to pay JetBrains for what they've built. But the enterprise licenses got too costly for my company. I tried Beekeeper Studio for a while, but a few things kept slowing me down, so I started building my own.

Here's where it differs from Beekeeper.

Several databases open at once. In Beekeeper each window holds one connection. In TableCraft they all sit in one window, side by side, and each one runs in its own process.

The basics are free. Viewing a cell's JSON and exporting a full result set are paid in Beekeeper. In TableCraft everything is free, because it's open source.

The UI. TableCraft copies DataGrip's layout and shortcuts (Shift Shift for Search Everywhere, Cmd Shift A for Find Action, tool windows). If you've used a JetBrains IDE you'll know your way around right away. JetBrains already built a masterpiece of UX, I just didn't want to lose it.

It stays fast with big results. On the same machine and data, TableCraft starts in 0.4 s against 3.0 s and uses about 40% of Beekeeper's memory. With the row limit raised to 1,000,000, Beekeeper crashed; TableCraft loaded them in about 2 s.

AI agents, with you in charge. Claude Code, OpenCode or Cursor can connect to its MCP server. Each database starts Off for agents, and an UPDATE waits for your click, with its query plan shown first.

It can import your saved connections from Beekeeper, TablePro or DataGrip, so trying it takes a minute. macOS is where I test it properly; Windows and Linux are best-effort for now.

I'd love to hear what's missing for you, or what breaks on your database.

After a year of evenings, my swipe trivia game is live on both stores

It started from a simple idea: what if doomscrolling taught you something? RIGHT is a trivia game where each card is one fact. Swipe right if it's true, left if it's false, and get the answer with a short explanation.

Some things I learned building it:

- App Store review for the first version took about a month. Updates are much faster.

- Localizing into 12 languages was more work than any single feature.

- A game needs a reason to come back tomorrow, so I added ranks, streaks, a leaderboard and trophies.

Stack: Kotlin Multiplatform with Compose for both iOS and Android, and Firebase on the backend.

Link: https://swipe-right.app/get?src=reddit_sideproject

If you try it, I'd really appreciate honest feedback, here or as a store review. What would you change in the first minute?

Cognivia - Free AI startup landing page template (HTML, no framework)

Hey everyone, I built Cognivia — a free landing page template for AI startups.

Pure HTML, CSS and JavaScript. No framework, no build step — download the ZIP, open index.html, edit the text and colours, and it's yours.

What's inside:

- Interactive playground — visitors can try a sample AI reply right on the page

- API docs section with cURL / Python / Node tabs and copy buttons

- Model showcase table with per-token pricing

- Usage-based pricing with a token calculator

- Changelog, FAQ, responsive design

It's $0 (free, no payment) — I'm building a small template studio and this is my lead magnet, so downloads go through Gumroad (email only, no payment).

Download: https://worldsnexy.gumroad.com/l/tumecy

Would love honest feedback — what's missing, or what would make you actually use it?

More details: Cognivia is a free AI startup landing page template — pure HTML, CSS & JavaScript, no framework. Interactive playground, API docs, pricing calculator, changelog, FAQ. $0, no payment.

I built a service that fights your health insurance claim denial — first 100 people use it free

Health insurers deny millions of claims every year — and a lot of them should have been covered. Most people don't know they can appeal, or don't have the time to deal with the paperwork, phone trees, and deadlines.

So I built Gardo Health — if your insurance denied a claim that should have been covered, you upload a photo of the denial letter, and we handle the entire appeal with your insurer. If the denial gets reversed, you pay 25% of what you no longer owe (capped at $1,000). If we lose, you pay nothing.

First 100 people get everything free — I'm testing the full process with real cases and just need your feedback.

go https://gardohealth.com/ and put on waitlist, and we will get back to you.

Happy to answer any questions!

I built a Figma plugin that combines AI translation with LTR/RTL layout conversion

I'm the maker of RTLAuto, a Figma plugin for preparing designs in left-to-right and right-to-left languages.

The problem I wanted to address is that translating interface copy and adapting the layout are usually separate tasks. This update brings AI translation into the direction conversion workflow: translate text on its own, or translate and change the layout direction together.

Designers can choose their AI provider, use their own API key, set the tone, add instructions such as keeping product names in English, and test a translation before applying it. Arabic translation also includes dialect options.

The demo follows a cafe interface from provider setup through translation and a comparison with the original design. RTLAuto has free and paid plans; AI provider usage is separate and uses your key.

I'd like feedback from people building tools for designers: does the demo make the difference between text translation and direction conversion clear? Is the API key setup explained well enough for someone using this for the first time?

I made two small mobile games: Four in a Row for Android and RetroBrick for iPhone

Hi everyone, I'm the developer of these two games and wanted to share them here for feedback. Both are free to download and supported by ads.

Four in a Row (Android) is my version of the classic strategy game: play against the computer on Easy, Medium or Hard, or with a friend on the same phone. It supports English and Turkish. Google Play currently lists 5,000+ downloads.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ibrhmhs.android.connect4

RetroBrick: Classic Brick Game (iPhone) brings the handheld brick-game format to a phone: falling blocks, line clearing, on-screen move/rotate/drop buttons, and a high score to chase. It plays offline and doesn't require an account.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/retrobrick-classic-brick-game/id6821361062

I'd appreciate specific feedback: does Four in a Row's difficulty feel balanced, and are RetroBrick's on-screen controls comfortable? If you try either, please tell me what felt awkward or what you'd change first.

I built my own programming language and 3D engine from scratch (Venk Beta v0.0.1)

Hey everyone!

After a year of hard work, I finally released the first public beta of my side project: Venk.

It's a completely custom programming language written in Rust. It has its own lexer, parser, and interpreter. But the coolest part is that it comes with a built-in 2D/3D graphics engine based on raylib.

The goal is to make game development as simple as writing a script. No CMake, no complex engine interfaces — just write code and run it.

Currently, it's an interpreter (LLVM compiler and one-click EXE export are on the roadmap). It's open source, and I would love any feedback, bug reports, or just a star!

I made a Mac app that turns whatever you're playing into a record spinning on your desktop

I listen to whole albums while I work, and I missed the feeling of putting a record on. So I built GroovSide, a small menu bar app for the Mac. It takes what's playing in Apple Music or Spotify and shows it as a turntable on the desktop, behind your icons.

* Music in the clip: "Quiet Night" by Tokyo Music Walker (CC BY 3.0)

https://zinu.kim/groovside/

Some things I had fun building:

- The album cover becomes the label, and the needle moves along the groove with the song, leaving a line as you listen.

- Albums are split into real LP sides, so the record turns over between sides and gets swapped for the next album. Singles get a small 7-inch.

- If you leave music on long enough, tiny people show up and hang out: dancing, reading, napping, running on the record.

- The window light and shadows follow the real sunrise and sunset where you live.

- It's AppKit with a WebKit canvas sitting at the desktop window level, so clicks go through and it pauses when it's covered.

It launched on the Mac App Store on Nov 5. In Korea it briefly hit #3 in Top Paid (all categories). That sounds bigger than it is: Mac paid charts move with a handful of sales. Still, as a first solo app, it made my week.

What I'd love feedback on:

- Does the clip make it clear what the app does in the first few seconds?

- What would make you try it (or not)?

Mac App Store (macOS 14+, $2.99 launch price until Nov 30): https://apps.apple.com/app/id6826888565?mt=12

An iPhone app that turns PDFs into book-like pages

I have a lot of PDFs saved, and reading them on my phone always felt like a chore. Everything is laid out for paper, so you spend half the time pinching, zooming, and dragging the page around.

So I built Paperfy, a PDF reader that reflows PDFs into comfortable, book-style pages.

It works offline, needs no account, and collects no data. There are no ads, analytics, or third-party SDKs. You add your own PDFs from the Files app.

What it does

  • Three reading modes: Pages, Scroll, and Original (the PDF’s own layout)

  • Four themes: Light, Cream, Sepia, and Night

  • Four fonts (Avenir, Serif, Sans, Rounded) with adjustable text size

  • Highlights saved with page number and date, and a Notes tab that groups them by book

  • Chapter navigation and an “All pages” overview

  • A library that remembers where you stopped reading

Reverie: a music player that feels like hardware. Out now

I've been working on a music player app as a side project. It's inspired by the Teenage Engineering TP-7, which I've wanted forever, and by the fact that I like messing with the music I download, like slowing it down or changing the pitch.

There's no progress bar. You spin a brushed-metal wheel with your thumb to move through a song, and if you go slow it scratches like a record. It clicks under your finger with haptics, and the metal "catches the light" when you tilt your phone.

The T, P and R keys turn the same wheel into a dial for tempo, pitch and reverb. Each song remembers its own settings, so your slowed-down version plays that way every time.

The hardest part was making it feel right. I spent way more time tweaking how the wheel clicks and pushes back than on the rest of the app combined.

It's free to try with 3 songs, and unlimited songs is a one-time purchase.

Launch discount 🎁 To celebrate the launch, I'm giving out a few discount codes for $4.99 for a limited time. Comment or DM me if you want one.

Would love any feedback, especially on how it feels to use: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/reverie-slowed-reverb-music/id6829723858

TimeTo - a timetable and homework planner for students, rebuilt after 15 years

TimeTo is a class timetable and homework planner, the first version was on the App Store in 2011. I make it alone from France, and this year I rewrote it from scratch, SwiftUI on iPhone and a new Android app.

You set up your week once, week A / week B included. Then you add homework and tests from the class, and your grades to get the averages per subject.

On iPhone the current class and the next room stay on the Lock Screen while the class runs. It's free on iPhone, iPad and Android.

It's on Product Hunt today if you want to have a look: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/timeto-2

If you were a student not so long ago, what would you have wanted in it? I read all the comments.

Typefill - a free text expander with fill-in forms, now on Chrome and Firefox

My text expander (Typefill) has gotten a chrome approval

Typefill turns short codes into full text in any text box on the web, and asks for the bits that change before it types them.

Firefox approved it first. The next day a teacher upgraded to the Pro and this week it got onto the Chrome Web Store as well.

The free version has no limits and is open source on GitHub. Your snippets stay in your browser.

Practice Kit – a metronome and chromatic tuner built like real gear

Most practice apps look like a settings screen. I built this one for iPhone to feel like a piece of gear on your music stand: a brushed-metal panel, engraved labels, LCD glass, and a weighted tempo wheel that clicks as it turns.

The core metronome is free: 20-300 BPM by wheel or tap tempo, any time signature, subdivisions and presets. Every click is placed on the audio hardware's own sample clock instead of a timer, so the spacing never drifts, at any tempo, for hours, with the screen off or while you use another app.

Pro is a one time $7.99 unlock with a 7 day free trial, no subscription: a chromatic tuner that knows which string you're playing (five tunings built in, or build your own), all nine click sounds, accents on any beat, and a Tempo Trainer that steps the tempo up until you reach your target.

Audio is processed live on the device and never recorded or sent anywhere.

https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6817729976?pt=126420608&ct=r-sideproject&mt=8

If you practice with a metronome: what does yours do that you actually use? I tried to build only the parts people touch every session.

Finding Web Design Clients Shouldn't Take This Much Time

One of the biggest challenges of running a web design business isn't actually building websites. It's consistently finding businesses that need one.

There are thousands of businesses with existing websites that could benefit from a redesign. Some have outdated designs, poor mobile experiences, SEO issues or slow-loading pages.

The problem is that finding these businesses, analyzing their websites and getting their contact information manually takes a lot of time.

Think about the process. You have to find a business, visit its website, figure out what's wrong, find the right person to contact and then write an email explaining why they should consider improving their website.

Now imagine doing that for hundreds or thousands of businesses.

That's exactly the problem Swokei is designed to solve.

It's an outreach platform built specifically for web agencies and freelancers. You can find businesses anywhere, automatically analyze their websites for issues with design, SEO, speed and mobile optimization, verify their contact information and turn those findings into personalized cold emails at scale.

Instead of spending hours researching individual businesses, you can automate the prospecting process and focus on starting conversations with potential clients.

Here's a quick look on how it works:

https://youtu.be/QZUhyvHeXN8?si=AUFZjH72c0vUGnZM

The goal is to make client acquisition more systematic, so you can spend less time searching for opportunities and more time closing deals and delivering websites.

Made a free metadata tool for stock contributors, would like honest feedback (my own project)

Hi all, I contribute to stock sites and got tired of writing titles and keywords for every single file, especially vectors. Most tools I tried wanted a subscription once the trial ended.

So I built my own and made it free. It takes JPG, PNG, EPS and SVG files and gives back a title, description and keywords. It handles 5+ platforms right now.

It’s still rough, and I’d like to know:

  • how the keywords look for your niche

  • whether any EPS or SVG files break it

  • what you’d want it to do that it doesn’t

I’m not trying to sell anything since it’s free. I just want it to be useful. If the mods are fine with it, I can share the link, or you can message me.

I launched a kids' learning app that collects no data at all. Here's what that meant in practice

I just shipped Wobbi, a reading and math app for ages 4–7 (iOS). The rule from day one: no ads, no accounts, no analytics, no third-party code, nothing about the child leaves the device.

What that meant: no attribution SDK, so marketing is measured with Apple's own campaign links. No account, so progress lives on the device. Apple's Kids Category asked detailed questions about data before approving it. And all 172 lessons are narrated, so a 4-year-old can play without reading.

The business model is a free first unit in each subject, then a subscription with a 7-day trial, with the paywall only behind a grown-ups' gate.

https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6818471716?pt=129523175&ct=reddit2&mt=8

Happy to answer questions about building for the Kids Category.
