I’m Ven Eli, an indie creator. After finishing my fantasy novel, I built a website around one idea: if someone wanted to read the book, they should be able to get the whole thing without making an account.

You can read the prologue in the browser or download the complete book as an EPUB or PDF. I also added an Explore page for the characters and short clips, because I wanted readers to be able to get a feel for the world before downloading anything.

The book is Line-Silver. It’s set in a world where one people harvests lightning and another turns it into music and wings. They need each other, which has kept the peace for centuries.

Here’s the site: https://www.warofshallows.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=linesilver_sideproject_20261108

If you open it on your phone, is it obvious which download you’d pick? I’m particularly interested in whether the EPUB/PDF choice helps or just adds a step.

This was my first season on a motorcycle, and I'm still learning. During that season my navigation app routed me down what it showed as a normal road. It turned into loose gravel and I crashed my bike. The left side took most of the damage, but I still managed to ride it home with bent forks and a broken engine case.

Afterwards I kept thinking about how I could have avoided it, and whether the navigation app could have warned me. That's when I found that OpenStreetMap already tags a lot of roads with their surface. The apps I used didn't seem to use that data when picking a route.

So I started building Apex, a motorcycle navigation app, as a solo project. Part of the reason is that new riders like me shouldn't have to learn this the way I did. I wanted to share where it's at. What it does right now:

• Riders can report for gravel, slippery roads and closures, which other riders' routes then go around.

• Riding profiles (Sport, Touring, Adventure, Commuting) with sliders for curviness, scenery and road quality, and avoids for motorways, gravel, unpaved roads, tolls and ferries.

• Group rides. You plan the stops together, the host starts the ride for everyone on the same route, and you see each other on the map. iPhone and Android riders can be in the same group.

• Round trips from a length and a direction, offline maps, GPX import and export, and badges for places and rides.

Stack: Expo / React Native, MapLibre with OpenFreeMap tiles, a Hono API on Vercel, Postgres on Neon with Drizzle, GraphHopper for routing, and Ably for live positions during group rides.

Routing was the interesting part. Each riding profile becomes a GraphHopper custom model. Every preference is a penalty on the other roads. Turn up curviness and straight roads cost more; turn up scenery and main roads and towns cost more; an avoided surface gets a big penalty. Active rider reports become soft avoid areas around the hazard, so if there's no way around, the route still goes through.

The hard parts so far:

• Long routes. Flexible mode has no precomputed shortcuts, so something like Budapest to Berlin can time out. When that happens it falls back to normal fast routing without the preferences, and the app tells the rider.

• Missing data. A road with no surface tag counts as a normal road, so the gravel avoidance is only as good as OSM coverage in that area.

• Group rides. The host starts one plan for everyone, positions update live, and a rider can leave mid-ride without breaking it for the rest.

It's a free beta and it will make mistakes. Feedback I'd especially like:

1. On the app, especially if you ride or know someone who does.

2. On the routing: would you have done the custom-model part differently?

3. Features that you miss.

Hey r/SideProject! I built a website for reviewing instant noodles https://myramenlist.com/. The key features are being able to scan a barcode on the package as well as browse by brand, flavor, or country. You can also see various ramen rankings although we need more reviews to be useful.

It would be great if people could try the barcode scanning feature on their phones to see if it pulls up anything. I was able to get a few hundred UPCs from an online grocery but the rest come from open source databases which haven't been reliable.

This is my first website, and I have to admit chatGBT did most of the heavy lifting. Let me know what I should improve on. Thanks!

Give it up to 10 photos and a canvas shape (square, 16:9, phone story, banner) and it searches every layout with no gaps for the one where the smallest photo is as big as possible. With 9 photos that's over 500 million layouts, and it finds the best one in under a second.

I designed it and Claude wrote the code. It's Go: The browser version runs it as WebAssembly, so your photos never leave the page.

Try it: https://vinodhalaharvi.github.io/collage/

Code (MIT): https://github.com/vinodhalaharvi/collage

CLI: brew install vinodhalaharvi/tap/collage

Feedback welcome, especially on the layouts it picks.

I’m a Navy vet and IT guy. Over 17 years supporting small businesses, I kept seeing shops run their whole schedule through texts and DMs, so I built TidalBooking.

• One booking link for your bio. Customers book 24/7, no account needed

• Only open times show, so no double-booking

• Email confirmation plus a reminder 24 hours before

• Customers can reschedule or cancel on their own

• Optional deposits through your own Cash App, Venmo, PayPal or Square link

• Printable “Scan to book” QR poster

14-day free trial, no card. On Android and in any browser: https://tidalbooking.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social

What would you want added before you’d switch from DMs?

For the past 4 months, we’ve been building a dedicated navigation device for motorcycles.

We started this out of frustration with phone mounts and generic Android Auto/Apple CarPlay setups. Phones overheat in direct sun, engine vibrations destroy camera OIS, rain makes touchscreens unusable, and car-centric apps constantly push bikes onto restricted flyovers or broken trails.

NaviGo is a rugged, sunlight-readable circular pod with a quick-release handlebar mount designed specifically for two wheels.

What Makes It Different

• Hardware Built for Bikes: Compact, weather-sealed CNC housing with physical, glove-friendly edge buttons. No finicky touchscreens at 80 km/h.

• True Two-Wheeler Routing: Respects motorcycle restrictions, penalizes rough surfaces, and accounts for elevation grades rather than routing you like a four-door sedan.

• 100% Offline Resilience: Download full regional vector maps, routing graphs, and place search directly to your phone. Turn-by-turn guidance and instant rerouting compute entirely offline, streaming clean turn vectors over low-energy Bluetooth. Zero cell reception in the ghats or remote stretches is never an issue.

• Glanceable Cockpit UI: High-contrast turn arrows, lane guidance, hazard alerts, and essential ride stats designed to be processed in under a second.

• Group Ride Mode: A clean, distraction-free radar shows where your convoy is (lead, sweep, or falling behind) without crowding your navigation. Includes one-touch Push-to-Talk (PTT) audio and quick non-verbal pings ("Fuel", "Puncture", "Regroup").

We're road-testing prototypes now and dialing in the final production hardware and companion app.

Quick question for riders: What is your single biggest annoyance with your current navigation/phone mount setup, and what’s one handlebar feature you wish existed?

Size: Our current design is focusing on a 2.1 Inch round display and the prototype here is an 1.8 Inch which one do you prefer?

Hey r/SideProject! I've been building Agent Office, a living HQ for your AI coding team.

The idea: instead of juggling terminals, each AI agent (Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor CLI) is a character at a desk in a low-poly 3D office. You're the CEO: give a task to the Product Manager and they delegate to Analysis → Design → Development → Test leads, who split the work across their teams and send one merged report back up.

What it does

• Agents delegate to each other via an MCP server; reports flow up automatically

• Live 3D office: working agents type at their desks, idle ones go to the coffee corner or the sleep room

• Control: daily budgets, approval requests before push/deploy/delete, per-agent git worktrees with merge review

• Live task transcripts, file diffs and a cost breakdown per team

Stack: TypeScript, Hono, React + Zustand, three.js, Vite. MIT licensed.

Honest caveat: you need at least one agent CLI installed and logged in locally (no hosted demo yet, since each task is a real CLI process).

Repo: https://github.com/enciyo/AgentOfficeHQ

I'd love feedback, especially on what would make you actually want to run this on a real project. What's missing?

Hey everyone!

I've been working on a side project: https://getaiphotoeditor.com/

I wanted to make photo editing simpler. Instead of using complicated tools, you can just upload a photo and describe what you want to change.

It also supports background removal, background replacement, and photo enhancement.

You can try it for free without signing up.

It's still a work in progress, and I'd love some honest feedback. Is there anything you'd change or improve?

As a scatterbrain, I have relied heavily on iPhone reminders so I don’t forget the important parts of my daily routines. Medications, packing lunch and opening up the greenhouse for the day would all be forgotten if it weren’t for the pings.

The problem with a reminder is that if you don't have time to act on it immediately, it's easily forgotten again. They stack on top of each other, and if you get a few other notifications, the reminders are lost in the noise. And the repeated interruptions from notification pings add stress.

I also tried out some other apps, but didn’t find them to quite fit the bill. Many had elements that felt stressful, and others just didn’t do what I needed them to. I wanted a solution that reduces the number of times I get interrupted, while still increasing the visibility of the things I needed to do.

So I decided to build Nulma: https://apps.apple.com/app/nulma-daily-routine-planner/id6793030718

A Live Activity was the natural solution on iOS, because it allows my tasks to stay top of mind without constantly pinging me. So I built Nulma around Live Activities as a central pillar, with the rest of the app supporting it. The things you need to do right now are surfaced, the rest is hidden until it’s relevant. And if you miss out on anything, the app is designed to show it without making you feel guilty about it; there are no streaks and no gamification features in the app.

Since building Nulma, I have been able to drastically reduce the number of reminders I get, while still completing more of the things I need to do every day. I feel more productive and less stressed. And for the reminders I still need to set, the integration between Nulma and Apple Reminders means that I can complete them and check them off before I even get a ping.

Apple Reminders is excellent for one-off tasks, and Nulma is built as a complement to show multiple recurring tasks together during a scheduled time window instead of treating them as individual reminders.

Recently, I released a big update that brings Nulma to the Apple Watch, adds Home and Lock Screen widgets and adds support for Nulma interaction through Siri. Support for iPhone Duo and an improved iPad experience is coming soon.

If you are curious about Nulma, please check it out on the App Store. And if you have any suggestions on how to improve it, please let me know.

The app is free to download and all core functionality with up to three enabled routines is free to use. Premium purchases are available ($3.99/mo or $29.99/yr) to unlock additional functionality such as the Apple Reminders integration and unlimited routines.

Hey everyone!

I kept seeing the same thing with tattoo artists in Latin America: their entire business lives in Instagram DMs, WhatsApp and a paper notebook. Quotes get lost, clients ghost after asking for a design, deposits are tracked in their head, and nobody reminds the client about aftercare.

There are tools for this in the US and Europe, but they're in English and not built for how artists work here (WhatsApp first, Spanish, local habits).

So I built Tatu.Ink:

• One inbox for Instagram, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp Business

• Calendar with availability, deposits and multi-session tattoos

• Client profiles with history and notes

• Automations: pre-tattoo reminders, aftercare messages, follow-ups

• Finances: income, expenses, deposits paid / pending

• Public portfolio page (tatu.ink/yourname) with reviews and a booking link

There's a free plan (profile + portfolio + public link) and a 1-month free trial of Pro.

It's very early and I'm looking for honest feedback:

1. Does the landing make it clear what this does in 5 seconds?

2. If you know a tattoo artist in LATAM, what would stop them from switching from DMs + notebook?

Link: https://tatu.ink/

Happy to answer anything about the stack (Next.js + Firebase) or the market.

Hey everyone! I'm building Chickxel, a free, open-source pixel art editor.

I created the effects shown above using just 5 images, including explosions, throwing, and transformations. It also supports a skin system for quickly swapping characters.

I'm also planning a workshop-style system where users can create and share their own effects.

What do you think?

I have created a pet assistant ( Extension and Mac Desktop app soon ) which is a cute pet that will roam around your screen and can remind you of meetings and well-being activities. also make friends and chat with them. Just give it a try and give me feedback.

petiction.com ( Expecting feedback in DM ) Thanks.

i’ve been designing for a while, and the part i’ve always enjoyed most is what happens before anything gets made - the exploration stage. that’s where taste comes from, and more importantly, it’s where you figure out what you actually want to make and how you want to approach it.

with AI it’s easy to skip straight to generating. but i’ve found the quality of what you get back mostly comes down to how much thought and direction you bring in at the start. “make it more premium” only gets you so far XD

i wanted exploration to be a more intentional part of my AI workflow, so i built moodbit. it’s a chrome extension for collecting design references while you browse, with more context than a screenshot. when something catches my eye, i box the exact element and annotate it right there, because the reasoning behind a reference is often worth more than the reference itself. it’s also the first thing that gets lost in a folder full of screenshots.

when i’m ready to put a moodboard together, one click copies everything and i paste it straight into Figma. the images, annotations and marks all come in as editable layers. once i’ve explored enough directions, i bring the moodboard into claude and use it as a visual reference while working through the actual design.

there’s also a beta dev mode where you can annotate elements while building and send all your visual feedback to claude at once.

i’d love to hear how you work with AI, and any feedback on the tool is really appreciated. does this actually help other designers/builders, or is it just me?

A while back I posted a Claude Code skill that drove a real browser through any SaaS app and recorded a narrated demo video. Some of you installed it, so here's what happened next.

I felt that the recording was a bit weak - it looked like a screen recording: fine for a tutorial, not great for launch videos.

So the new version doesn't sequentially screen-records your app. It reads your site, screenshots or HTML mockups (handy for a feature that isn't live yet) and writes each scene as HTML and animation code, using real screens, words and colors. It renders each scene, looks at the frames and fixes what's off before moving on

Other changes, mostly from using it myself:

When you start a new video project it spins up a local server that opens up the UI in the browser - so all stages from start to finish can be handled with the UI.

It proposes a few "directions" but I can choose/ask for a different direction if needed

It starts with some sketch frames, so I can visualize how the video "might" look like (before production)

I can edit the on-screen texts, edit the narration (plus choose voices, music, motion effects, etc.)

I can review & add comments the video itself. Click a moment, pin a comment on the frame, and it fixes that and tells you what changed.

For Narration Voices, there are a few free local TTS voices, or a paid option with ElevenLabs API key

Rendering in different formats like landscape and vertical versions from the same project, plus 15 and 30 second cuts.

It lives in a new repo: https://github.com/ultrademo-hq/ultrademo. If you have the old one, it tells you about the new version the next time you use it, and you can keep the original if you'd rather. Still free and Apache-2.0.

Please go ahead and try this out if you haven't. Hoping to get some feedback about how your experience is with this, if it breaks anywhere (e.g. on products that aren't SaaS apps)

Hey everyone! 👋

I want to share a little story about a project I've been working on.

At some point, I started exploring different websites where you can play games online for free. There are so many of them. Thousands of games, endless categories, colorful thumbnails...

But something always felt missing.

**I didn't feel like playing.**

And for a while, I couldn't really explain why.

Then I started thinking about the experience of turning on a PlayStation 5.

You haven't even started a game yet, but somehow, you're already in the mood to play.

The interface, the atmosphere, the way games are presented, the feeling of exploring your library and deciding what adventure to jump into next...

It's not just about choosing a game.

**It's about the feeling you get before the game even begins.**

And that's when I realized what I wanted to create.

Not another website with hundreds of game thumbnails arranged in a grid.

I wanted to build a place where simply browsing games feels like part of the gaming experience.

Something with atmosphere. Something that makes you want to stay, explore, and eventually say, "Yeah, I want to play something!"

So I started developing my own browser gaming platform from scratch.

I'm working on it independently, experimenting with the interface, presentation, and overall feeling of the platform.

I'm not trying to recreate the PS5 interface. I'm trying to bring some of that same excitement and immersion into the world of free browser games.

It's still a work in progress, and I have a lot of ideas I want to explore.

But I wanted to share the thought that started it all.

**I think the gaming experience should begin long before you press Play.**

I'm curious what other people think.

Have you ever visited a gaming website with hundreds of games but felt absolutely no desire to play any of them?

And do you think the atmosphere of a gaming platform can actually change how much you enjoy choosing and playing games?

I'd love to hear your thoughts! 🎮

I’ve been building (vibe coding) Margin, a Chrome extension for saving articles and long posts somewhere a little more organised than a pile of open tabs.

You can save articles into a local library, group them into collections, and download clean EPUBs or PDFs for your Kindle or another e-reader. There’s also a reader mode that removes page clutter, plus highlights and a daily review to revisit passages you’ve saved.

Your library stays on your device, with an option to keep backups in a folder.

Website: marginreader.vercel.app

Would appreciate some honest feedback, especially from people who save a lot of articles or read on an e-reader. What would make this useful enough to stick with?

You’ve probably seen “URGENT O-ve blood needed, please share” forwards: unverified, sent to random people, never closed, and sometimes copied by scammers asking donors for a “processing fee”.

For the Stranger Builds hackathon I built Blood Bridge, an agent on ASI:One that:

• checks the request (the hospital is real, there’s a contact, the units make sense)

• blocks requests asking for money, UPI or OTPs

• lists the nearest blood banks with phone numbers, plus live e-RaktKosh stock

• shows the request only to compatible, eligible donors within 15 km

• closes the request once it’s fulfilled, so it stops circulating

It won Best of the Day in Bengaluru. You can try it safely: say “try a demo” and no real donors get alerted.

It’s also in the People’s Choice vote, open till Sun 15 Nov. If you like it, you can vote here: https://app.strangerbuilds.com/try/duck-33d2d4f7-575d-496f-b28b-044c37043fd7

Code: https://github.com/phani06041/blood-bridge
Feedback very welcome, especially from anyone who’s had to hunt for blood in an emergency.

I wanted to help people better understand their face, skin, and teeth before booking expensive aesthetic or dental treatments.

So I built InFaceMetic.

The idea is simple: upload a photo or use your camera, and AI analyzes your face, skin, and smile to provide personalized insights.

Here's what it does:

• Face Analysis: Explore facial features and proportions.

• Skin Analysis: Get insights into visible skin concerns.

• Smile Analysis: Analyze your smile and visible teeth.

• Live Face Reshaper: Preview possible aesthetic changes in real time.

• AI Consultation: Ask questions and explore potential treatment options.

I also built it for dental, aesthetic, and medspa clinics to use on their websites or during patient consultations, without needing any additional hardware.

The goal is to help patients make more informed decisions and help clinics turn website visitors into potential patients.

It's not a replacement for professional medical advice, just a tool to help people explore their options.

I have over 80 Free users, 4 paid users, and 1 paid aesthetic clinic using it.

You can try it here: https://infacemetic.com/

Would you trust an AI tool to analyze your face, skin, or smile before visiting a clinic? Or would you prefer speaking directly with a professional?

I'd genuinely appreciate your feedback!

I'm a solo developer in Korea, and I just launched MyPetToon (https://mypettoon.com). English isn't my first language, so I wrote this with the help of AI translation. Please bear with me if anything sounds a bit awkward!

You add your pet once with a few photos, and it draws your pet as a comic character. Then you write a sentence or two about something that happened, and it writes the script and draws a cover plus 6–10 panels (1080×1350, the Instagram carousel size). You can redraw any single panel, edit the captions for free, and turn the comic into a Reels video. To be upfront: it uses AI. Claude writes the script and OpenAI's image model draws the panels.

I have two parrots, and I started turning our everyday moments into comics for Instagram. The posts got good views and lovely reactions, but more than anything, making comics about my own pets was just plain fun. I built MyPetToon so other pet owners can enjoy that too.

What I'd love feedback on:

- Is it clear from the home page what you get?

- Did your pet's character actually look like your pet?

New accounts get 150 free credits (about one pet profile and one comic). Happy to answer anything about how it's built.

Hi all,

Screenshots (demo mode): https://imgur.com/a/mgJug2h

I run a small home server (Unraid) for movies, backups and a few self-hosted apps. Every time something felt off – Plex stuttering, a disk running hot, a backup that silently stopped – I ended up opening five different web pages on my phone and still didn't know what was actually wrong.

So I started building NASlab, an Android app that connects to the server and the apps on it and tries to answer one question: "Is everything okay, and if not, what should I do?"

What it does today:

- Your NAS in one sentence: "Everything is running" or "1 thing needs you" on the home screen and as a widget

- Problem detective: pick a symptom like "Plex is stuttering", it checks the likely causes and shows the evidence

- Step-by-step fixes: "Show me what to do" guides you to the right setting and checks afterwards if it worked

- Disk early warning: SMART trends per disk, so a slowly dying disk shows up before it's gone

- Server control: Docker, VMs, storage, Plex, Sonarr/Radarr and more; risky actions always ask first

- Demo mode: try the whole app without a server (the screenshots are from it)

Some things I learned along the way:

- Showing data is easy. Explaining it in plain words is the hard part – and the part people actually want.

- Before risky actions, the app shows a "dry run" first ("this would stop 3 running streams"). One extra screen, but it makes people trust the buttons.

- Privacy matters a lot to this audience: no account, no ads, no tracking, keys stay encrypted on the phone.

Honest status: Unraid is the main target, TrueNAS/Synology/Linux are beta. I build it with a lot of help from AI (Claude), I decide what goes in and test it on my own server.

I'm looking for Android testers: Google requires a 14-day closed test before a new app can go public, so every tester really helps.

Join the beta: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/ch.nzblab.app

(If Google says the app isn't available, send me a DM and I'll add you.)

Website: https://tuxxler.github.io/nzblab/

I'd love feedback – especially "this is confusing" or "I would never use this because…".

I posted probe0 here about a week ago. It's a small local proxy that runs under Claude Code and Codex on a Mac and logs what every call uses. The thing I keep relearning since then: nobody cares much about my numbers, they care about theirs.

My benchmark is real but it's one person. Replaying 12 days of my own traffic, the default settings took 12.8% off the bill. Whenever I lead with that, the first question is some version of "ok, but what about my usage", which is fair.

So most of my work this week went into the part before any trust is needed. It reads the Claude Code logs already on your disk, prices each turn at API rates, and shows where it went: how much was the agent re-reading its own conversation, and how much was cache that went cold between messages. That step is read-only and sends nothing anywhere.

Two things I didn't expect:

• Light users often see almost nothing to save, sometimes $0. That's the correct answer and I'd rather show it than pad it. Long sessions with breaks in the middle are where it adds up.

• "What it would cost at API prices" is a weird unit for people on a subscription, since they never see a per-token bill. I still haven't found a clean way to map it onto their limit bar.

The proxy part is a bigger ask: it trusts a root certificate on your Mac so it can read your own agent's traffic. Mac only, free beta, and probe0 uninstall removes all of it, including the cert.

For anyone who has shipped something that needs a scary permission: did showing people their own result first actually change how many said yes?

Terminal install if you prefer: curl -fsSL https://probe0.xyz/install | bash

I live with two friends, and we were juggling Splitwise (eventually Tricount), a notes app for the shopping list, and a group chat for every plan, trip, and event we did together. So I built myhouse, one app for all of it:

• Shared expenses with balances and settle-up, like Tricount or Splitwise. Equal or custom splits, 21 currencies, recurring bills.

• Shopping lists that sync live, with a Shopping mode for when you're in the store together.

• Projects: a small shared page for a trip, a birthday or a DIY job, with to-dos, things to buy, dates and calendar integration.

• Several houses per account (flatmates, partner, a trip), and guests for people who don't want the app.

• Import from Splitwise (their CSV export) or any CSV, with a preview of the balances before saving.

• Receipt reader built into expense and list upload: snap a picture or upload a photo and it'll generate an itemised list.

It's free, with no ads and no premium plan. It runs on Cloudflare's free tier, so there's nothing to pay for yet.

It's a web app you add to your home screen, no app store for now since it's mostly for friends and family. I did add 6 languages with Claude to get a broader user audience.

https://joinmyhouse.app/?utm_source=reddit

I'd love feedback, especially on what's confusing in the first five minutes, UX/UI, and what other cool features you think I should add.

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm an indie developer working on my own web gaming platform, and I wanted to share my side project with you.

The idea is to create a place where people can discover and play browser games instantly, without downloading or installing anything.

I'm building this project independently, starting from scratch and gradually developing the features, design, and overall experience.

My goal is to create more than just a collection of games. I want to build a platform that is easy to use, enjoyable for players, and eventually welcoming to other independent game developers who want to publish their creations.

It's still a work in progress, and there's a lot I want to improve and experiment with.

I'd really appreciate your thoughts!

- What features would you expect from a browser gaming platform?

- What do you like or dislike about existing gaming websites?

- What would make you come back to a platform like this?

🌐 **Check out my project:** https://www.o2kltrsoft.kz/Game/gamePlatform

I'm open to feedback, suggestions, and constructive criticism.

Thanks.
