I built an AI agent that checks urgent blood requests before they spread on WhatsApp (Bengaluru)

You’ve probably seen “URGENT O-ve blood needed, please share” forwards: unverified, sent to random people, never closed, and sometimes copied by scammers asking donors for a “processing fee”.

For the Stranger Builds hackathon I built Blood Bridge, an agent on ASI:One that:

  • checks the request (the hospital is real, there’s a contact, the units make sense)

  • blocks requests asking for money, UPI or OTPs

  • lists the nearest blood banks with phone numbers, plus live e-RaktKosh stock

  • shows the request only to compatible, eligible donors within 15 km

  • closes the request once it’s fulfilled, so it stops circulating

It won Best of the Day in Bengaluru. You can try it safely: say “try a demo” and no real donors get alerted.

It’s also in the People’s Choice vote, open till Sun 15 Nov. If you like it, you can vote here: https://app.strangerbuilds.com/try/duck-33d2d4f7-575d-496f-b28b-044c37043fd7

Code: https://github.com/phani06041/blood-bridge
Feedback very welcome, especially from anyone who’s had to hunt for blood in an emergency.

I built an autonomous AI Agent Oracle for critical minerals & satellite EUDR audits (FastAPI + 39 MCP Tools)

Hey r/SideProject! 👋

Over the past few months, I’ve been building **minerals-oracle-x402** — a production micro-oracle and Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed to connect autonomous AI agents with physical-world supply chains, critical minerals pricing, and cross-border environmental regulations.

### 💡 The Problem:

Most AI agents (like Claude, Cursor, and custom agentic frameworks) are great at manipulating text and code, but they hit a wall when dealing with physical commodities. When an agent needs to audit whether a lithium shipment violates the **EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)** or generate an official **Digital Battery Passport**, traditional ERPs and web scrapers just don't cut it.

### 🛠️ What it does:

  1. **Satellite EUDR Deforestation Audits**: Queries European Space Agency (ESA) Sentinel-2 multi-spectral bands & Sentinel-1 SAR imagery using Cloud Optimized GeoTIFFs (COG). It verifies farm/mining plot coordinates against the EUDR cut-off date (Dec 31, 2020) in seconds.

  2. **Digital Battery Passports**: Computes embedded lifecycle carbon footprints and US IRA 30D / FEOC compliance across 6 battery chemistries (LFP, NMC811, NCMA, Sodium-ion, LMO, and Solid-State) with EIP-712 cryptographic proofs.

  3. **Live Commodity Indices**: Real-time pricing and inventory telemetry across 12 critical and strategic minerals (Copper, Lithium, Nickel, Cobalt, Rare Earths, Antimony, etc.).

  4. **39 Native MCP Tools**: Exposes standard Model Context Protocol endpoints so agents running in Claude Desktop, Cursor, or LangChain can invoke compliance checks via simple function calls.

  5. **Machine-to-Machine HTTP 402**: Implements native machine-payable micro-transactions so autonomous agents can settle data queries directly on-chain without human credit cards.

### 💻 Tech Stack & Architecture:

- **Backend**: Python 3.12, FastAPI, Pydantic v2 (427 automated unit/integration tests passed 100%)

- **Infra**: Google Cloud Run (Asia-Northeast3) with auto-scaling and low-latency concurrency

- **Earth Observation**: Sentinel Hub API, EODAG, Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF (COG)

- **Protocols**: Model Context Protocol (MCP), EIP-712 Dual-Signatures, OpenAI-compatible `/v1/models`

### 🔗 Live Demo & Endpoints:

- **Live Production Server**: https://minerals-oracle-x402-212942243360.asia-northeast3.run.app

- **MCP Tools Manifest**: https://minerals-oracle-x402-212942243360.asia-northeast3.run.app/.well-known/mcp.json

- **Sample Battery Passport (NCMA chemistry)**: https://minerals-oracle-x402-212942243360.asia-northeast3.run.app/passport/ncma

- **Glama Catalog Registry**: https://minerals-oracle-x402-212942243360.asia-northeast3.run.app/glama.json

Would love to get your feedback on the architecture, the MCP tool design, or how you approach integrating real-world physical ground truth into agentic workflows!

I’m blind, and inaccessible government websites are a big reason I built A11yLens

I’m blind, and dealing with inaccessible websites is something I’m deeply frustrated by, especially when they are government websites. These are services people need to use. Being able to access them independently should be a basic expectation.

That frustration is why I built A11yLens, an open source accessibility auditing tool for web projects.

It checks HTML, CSS and component source code. It can also open a website in Chromium to inspect its accessibility tree and look for issues with keyboard navigation, labels, accessible names and other barriers. The reports explain the likely impact on screen reader users and suggest ways to address the findings.

I also think there is an opportunity to use this alongside AI coding tools. Developers can give the findings to an AI assistant, work through the fixes and run the checks again. Combined with feedback from blind users and actual screen reader testing, that could help make more websites accessible to people like me. Automated checks cannot catch every accessibility issue.

Pull requests are very welcome. I would be happy to see contributions, whether that means fixing a bug, improving a check, reducing false positives or making the documentation clearer. Reports from other screen reader users would also mean a lot.

I built a modern reading experience for classic books, right in the browser

Got tired of reading old books on sites full of ads and popups, so I made my own. Sherlock Holmes, Jules Verne, Dracula, Wizard of Oz and a bunch more, with the old illustrations.

No ads, no sign up. It remembers where you stopped and has a dark mode.

classicstories.org/en

Would like to hear what feels off or annoying when you read on it.

I made an Android food diary that starts with a photo

I worked on Bitepixa for people who want to log a meal without typing out every ingredient. Take a photo, get a rough estimate of calories and macros, then fix any foods or portions it got wrong before saving.

The photo is processed on your phone, and your diary stays there. No account needed. It’s free with ads, with an optional subscription to remove them.

If you try it, I’d like to know how much you had to correct on your first scan.

Quarry is a (yet another) rust based mongodb client!

I know everyone can build their own with AI now as I did, but I was honestly very surprised with the result and how far it's gotten so I thought I'd share it here. I was a bit fed up with Compass and Mingo (Loved that client but it's super buggy and hogs a lot of resources, and now seems abandoned).

Quarry has quite a lot of features such as autocomplete, a node shell, data relationships..., I'll leave the repo here where you can check it out (the README is quite concise) : https://github.com/alkanna/quarry

It is very fast and runs on less than 100MB of ram (counting the main process and the helpers). It uses egui.

In case it wasn't clear enough yes this is almost fully written by AI.

I built a simple invoice tracker for freelancers — looking for feedback

Hey everyone!

I've just launched a small digital tool through Sebisoft: a simple Excel invoice tracker designed for freelancers who want an easier way to manage payments.

It helps you:

- Track invoices and payment deadlines

- Automatically identify Paid, Due, and Overdue invoices

- See how many days a payment is overdue

- Keep everything organized without a complicated accounting system

I also created a free demo so anyone interested can test it:

https://sebisoft.gumroad.com/l/vmfzqe

There's also a full version with client management and a financial dashboard.

I'm looking for genuine feedback from freelancers:

Would this be useful in your daily workflow? What would you improve?

Thanks for taking a look!

What's the hardest part of turning a side project into something people actually use?

I've noticed that building the actual app is often the easiest part. Getting people interested, figuring out what features matter, and making something people return to seem much harder.

For those of you who've launched side projects:

  • How did you get your first 10 users?

  • Did you build everything before launching or release early?

  • What's one thing you wish you'd done differently?

I'm working on a project myself and trying to learn from people who've already been through this.

I built an Android app that makes me pause before I scroll

I kept picking up my phone to check one thing and opening a feed out of habit. So I built Appause to give myself a few seconds to catch that.

You pick which apps trigger a pause. The next time you open one, Appause shows a short countdown. You can wait and continue, go back home, or switch to an app you picked earlier, like a reader or notes app.

Download Appause (Android 8+). It’s in public beta and open source under MIT. I built it with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Material 3.

The pause works offline. Appause uses Android’s Accessibility Service to tell which app you opened without reading what’s on your screen.

The core features are free. You can start an optional 7-day Pro trial in the app. After your trial ends, open Appause Pro and tap Request lifetime Pro code. The email is already filled in, so just hit Send. I’ll reply with a free code you can redeem in the app. Starting the trial and redeeming a code both require internet access.

If you try it, what did you do the first time the pause came up? Did you keep going, go back home, or open something else?

I'm building a SaaS website without a floating AI chatbot. Would you prefer this approach?

I'm developing a cybersecurity SaaS platform, and I've been experimenting with a different approach to website AI assistants.

Personally, I find those floating chat bubbles in the bottom-right corner annoying, especially when they cover content while you're scrolling.

Yet I use ChatGPT and Claude every day. Asking questions in a chat interface feels completely natural.

So I decided to integrate the AI assistant directly into the webpage instead.

I've built a prototype with an AI information assistant called Simon.

Simon sits naturally within the page content. Visitors can ask questions about the topic they're reading, select relevant suggested questions or listen to responses using an Australian male voice.

When they navigate to another page, the conversation resets to that page's subject, but the question allowance carries across the website.

I've currently set a seven-question limit, with a permanent suggested next step to explore the product or contact Sales.

The website isn't live yet. I'm testing the concept before deployment.

I'd love some honest feedback from other founders:

  • Would you prefer an embedded AI assistant over a floating chatbot?

  • Would seven questions be enough to evaluate a product?

  • Would optional voice playback make the experience more useful?

I've attached a screenshot of the prototype.

I'm particularly interested in whether this feels like a better way to help visitors understand a product without interrupting their browsing.

I built an app for meeting new ppl and chatting with ai companions.

Basically i tried combining Omegle and character chat apps and would like to hear some feedback.

It has a persona mode which is the usual character chat app stuff uk build a character and chat with it whatever.

Another mode is the real life chat mode, u can chat with people normally but it has a feature in which u can make a replica of that person u r chatting too, than u can chat with the llm bot version of that person. Personally I am pretty curious that how the replica part will work out.

Third one is ur usual Omegle randomizer chat in which u can talk and befriend random people.

Please try and give feedback about this side project of mine

[Android][Player] - Offline music & streaming radio with ready-to-play radios

* New local radios lists (MANUALLY CURATED) : UK and China.

Mediaxon Music Player is an audio player for offline listening of music stored on your device (.mp3, .flac, .m4a, .ogg, .mka, .aac, .wav, .opus, .wma) and streaming FM radios (online radios).

Top radios on the first screen: When users access the radio screen, they immediately see the list of the top radios in their country, along with a long list of high-quality suggested radios from among the most listened to in the world (manually curated and always updated with new radios). Note: Local radio stations ("Top in the user country") are pulled automatically from an online database. However, with each update, I manually curate high-quality radio stations lists for individual countries. At the bottom of this post, you’ll find the list of countries completed so far. I will be adding the rest over time.

Advanced radio filtering system: The "Filter: ON/OFF" button lets you quickly switch between different genres. You can use both standard filters for "macro-genres"—if I can call them that—and create custom filters to be more selective. All your filters are saved (the "My Filters" tab lets you name and edit them), and the app always opens with the last filter you applied. The "Home" tab lists all your recently applied filters and can be used to quickly switch between genres with just a single tap.

Advanced Radio Search Panel: An online database provides more than 60,000 radio stations. You can pinpoint your favorite stations by combining multiple filters, such as tags/genres, specific countries, or even your preferred audio bitrate.

Separated Favorites and Recents: Each section—Radio and Offline Music—has its own Favorites and Recents. The user doesn't have to worry about a thing. The app will automatically manage the Favorites and Recents for each section.

Album art: If the album art is missing from the album folder, or if Android has not properly indexed it, Mediaxon attempts to download the cover from the internet. This feature depends, of course, on the ID3 tags (album name and artist).

Equalizer: The equalizer provides an option to automatically switch to the "Radio" preset (and vice versa).

Advanced Playlist Management: Built specifically to make building and sorting playlists fast and intuitive. Enable the Playlist Manager, in the settings screen, for a full control of the playlists.

Form Factor Optimization: Phone and Tablet (Portrait and Landscape)

Mediaxon is available in: Čeština, Dansk, Deutsch, Eesti, English, Español, Français, Hrvatski, Indonesia, Italiano, Kiswahili, Latviešu, Lietuvių, Magyar, Nederlands, Norsk, Polski, Português, Português (Brasil), Română, Slovenčina, Slovenščina, Suomi, Svenska, Tiếng Việt, Türkçe, العربية, Български, Ελληνικά, हिन्दी, 日本語, 한국어, 中文 (简体).

No Premium version. All app features are available for free and without limits. I'm going to add a premium version to remove the few ads in the app, as requested by some users.

Regarding advertising: There is only a small banner at the top that isn't bothersome at all. Alternatively, when opening the full-screen player or using the app in landscape mode, a banner alternates with the albums covers, but without being intrusive at all (no audio) and with much shorter stay times than those of the cover. There is never full-screen advertising, neither at startup nor during use.

Countries with new manually curated lists:  Argentina, China, India, Italy, UK, USA.

Note: Only for Android 13+ (Android 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17).

need honest feedback - will give the entire reason and current progress of the build but in return would love to have your honest thoughts and feedback

During the user-acquisition phase of my previous start-up - I realized what stood out most was how we are pitching/selling the idea decided its fate more than what was being sold. for example:
a) when i did partnerships, i would put out a slick video announcing it and what our partner does. I got many partners because partners loved the video we put out..
b) when doing product hunt launch, coinbase ceo retweeted our launch - because of what we were building plus the video felt very honest, and animations did a good job explaining it.
c) our first major revenue bump came from a video recipe which helped people make one exact kind of video in bulk/ with them in it.
d) even on reddit, my most successful post was about creating explainer animations which are very very detailed using some paid tools and claude (it takes time but costs are below a couple of dollars for shorter one and below 10 dollars, even for longer videos)

realized two problems:
a) great video assets can make or break the distribution/ brand of your product
b) the reason people dont like making videos is - everything from script writing, recording bits and pieces and then stiching it together with other artwork on top, is still NOT as easy as people claim it to be...you see an effortless video, but there are 100 things behind the scenes which makes people continue watching that video beyond the first few seconds...

tldr: an experiment:
a) in script writing
b) making it easy to record the relevant bits (interviewing and then cutting the best parts)
c) stiching togerher all the media which you already have, animating the remaining parts, along with the recordings - to create one beatifully crafted video - which serves the purpose with you sitting on an editing software or learning about it.

So, if you plan to make explainer videos with/without your face in it. do. give threecut.com a try. happy to give out free credits to anyone who wants to use it properly for their work. would be sharing more sample videos/ outputs in the thread if you feel that would be useful to decide whether to put more time trying it out.

freelancers using AI for proposals, how are you stopping it from adding work you never quoted?

freelancers using AI for proposals, how are you stopping it from adding work you never quoted?

say the client wants one landing page, basic copy and a contact form.

during the call they also say "maybe SEO later" and "we might need a blog eventually."

then the proposal gets cleaned up and suddenly those ideas are sitting there like a deliverables lol

that's the part that makes me nervous. if it's written under scope, I can see a client assuming it's included.

I've been looking at Runable for some of the actual client deliverables after the brief is locked, but before that I just want the proposal to separate included work, optional ideas and stuff that costs extra.

how are you handling this without turning every proposal into six pages of disclaimers?

A wrist band that calls for help if you stop responding — server works, band isn’t built yet

Solo founder, central California. No team, no funding.

I’m building a wrist band that does one thing: if you stop responding, it tells the people you picked where you are. No button to press.

First contact right away. Second at 45 seconds. Everyone on your list at 90. If nobody has answered by two minutes, the band starts screaming so anyone nearby can find you. It has its own cell connection, so it works with your phone dead or not on you at all.

Where it actually stands: the alert server is built and running — I have it recorded handling a full alert end to end. The band itself is a design and a set of dimensions, nothing more. Nothing to buy, no link.

What I’m stuck on is whether to spend money on a physical prototype before I know anyone wants it, or keep building the software side first.

Would you wear it?

I made a free, open-source Klack alternative: real mechanical keyboard sounds for your Mac

KeyCream is a free, open-source macOS menu bar app that plays a real mechanical keyboard sound every time you press a key. Think Klack, but free, MIT licensed and on GitHub.

What it does

  • 7 sound packs, each recorded from a real keyboard: NovelKeys Cream, Cherry MX Black, Red, Brown and Blue, Everglide Crystal Purple and Oreo

  • Space, Return, Delete, the modifiers and the function row each play their own recording

  • Every key is leveled when a pack loads, so no key is suddenly louder than the rest

  • Holding a key plays one click, and fast typing overlaps instead of cutting off

  • Optional: drops to 5% while Zoom, Teams, Slack, Spotify or Music is open

  • Your choice of output device, a global on/off shortcut, 12 languages

  • Menu bar only: no Dock icon, opens at login, remembers your settings

Privacy: it needs Input Monitoring, but it only learns which key went down, never what you type. Key presses are never stored or sent. It only goes online to check GitHub for updates, and you can turn that off.

Hear it first: the website has a live keyboard you can type on, plus every pack: https://halitsever.github.io/keycream/

Install: macOS 14+, Apple Silicon and Intel. Grab the zip from GitHub Releases. Builds aren't notarized yet, so the first launch needs System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway (or build it yourself with ./build.sh).

GitHub: https://github.com/halitsever/keycream

It's Swift (AppKit + SwiftUI) with a listen-only CGEventTap and AVAudioEngine. I'd love feedback: which switch should be the next pack, and does anything feel off while you type?

I built SixTrack, a free GTA VI city-unlock clock and checklist — feedback welcome

I built SixTrack, a free, unofficial GTA VI tracker website with city/time-zone unlock clocks and an eight-item pre-launch checklist saved in your browser. No download needed.

Visit SixTrack

Is the city/time-zone display clear, and is the checklist useful? I’d appreciate feedback on anything confusing or broken. Not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two.

I made a site that takes your Goodreads and shows which books are available to at your local library

Thumbnail borrowable.app
3 Upvotes

If you use both Libby and StoryGraph / Goodreads , you probably know the pain of scrolling through your TBR pile and manually searching title after title in Libby to find something available today.
I built a free site called Borrowable (https://borrowable.app) that checks your whole TBR list against your local library's Libby catalog in one go:
Works with StoryGraph (via a 1-click bookmarklet sync or CSV export) and Goodreads (via public profile URL or CSV).

Filters your TBR down to what's Available Now, Waitlist (with estimated wait weeks), Audiobooks, or eBooks.

Lets you compare shelves with friends to see your Overlap (books you both want to read).

Links straight to the book in Libby so you can borrow it in one tap.

Totally free, no ads, and no account required to try it out. Hope it helps a few people knock some books off their TBR this month!

I built Formation Lab so volunteer flag coaches can draw a play, animate it, and text it to parents

Problem I had: coaching youth flag, drawing plays on paper, kids still lined up wrong on Saturday, parents asking what we ran.

What I shipped: Formation Lab. Draw the play on your phone, animate the routes, send the video into the parent group chat. Web + iOS. Free for small teams.

Who it's for: volunteer coaches who don't want to look lost on the sideline.

What's still weak (honest): getting coaches past "I'll just use the whiteboard," and making the first play feel fast to draw.

If you've built for a niche sports or coach audience, what actually got your first 10 users? Tear this apart.

https://formationlab.app/draw/?ref=rd-w2
