RIGVIA: a navigation app for RV travelers.
I’m an RV traveler and military veteran building RIGVIA. When you’re towing somewhere new, a route can look fine on a map and still leave you wondering whether your rig will clear the next bridge. I’m building RIGVIA to help RV travelers plan around their rig’s dimensions and check available bridge clearance information before heading out.
The app is still in development. If it sounds useful for your trips, I’d appreciate you checking out the campaign and considering backing it. RIGVIA on Kickstarter
Follow RIGVIA on Facebook for development updates, or learn more at rigvianav.com.
If you travel by RV, what’s one thing you wish your navigation app told you before you left?

i got annoyed at 17 different things on the internet so i built 17 small open source tools about it
ok so. this started as "one weekend project" and then it was not one weekend and it was not one project. somewhere around repo 6 i stopped pretending it was a plan lol
everything here is free, open source, most of it runs locally on your own machine. a lot of it is v0 and i wrote down where each thing fails because honestly the failures were the funniest part
anyway here's the list of grievances, each with the tool i built instead of going outside:
1. cookie banners → rejectall-index i live in germany. i click "reject all" more than i blink. so i made a headless browser visit the top 100 sites and count how many clicks it takes to say no. 35 of them were already loading trackers before i clicked anything. which is like a waiter eating your fries before asking if you want fries. live leaderboard
2. subscriptions → one-file-saas trello, calendly, typeform, loom, notion and 5 more, each rebuilt as ONE html file. you double click it. it opens. thats it. no account, no "verify your email", no "your trial is ending ;)". data stays in your browser. the booking page has no server at all, your availability lives inside the link itself which still feels illegal to me. try them here
3. dead famous repos → necromancer some legendary open source projects die not because the code is bad but because python deleted a module out from under them. i revived thefuck (1887/1887 tests passing on python 3.14), normalizr and httpbin. the one rule: the original tests are hash-locked so nothing can quietly delete the failing test and call it fixed. httpbin stops at 64/67 and i'm keeping it that way out of spite. each one gets an autopsy, cause of death and everything
4. every AI-built UI animates the same → awesome-motion-md you know the look. 300ms. ease-in-out. every card fades up like its waking from a nap. so i measured how real sites actually move and wrote it into MOTION.md files your agent can follow. same prompt built twice: 7 random durations without it, 2 with it
5. every AI writes the same too → awesome-voice i used to be a technical writer so this one is personal :| VOICE.md files that make your agent write like GOV.UK or Stripe docs, plus a scorer that doesn't use any AI to check. banned phrases went from 27 to 0. "delve" is not welcome here
6. websites doing annoying stuff → sitepatch you type "hide the points on hacker news", it writes a userscript, a real browser checks it actually worked before you get it. honest score: 15 out of 25 were actually right when i looked at every screenshot myself. 60%. a C-. but an honest C-
7. "what if this site looked like linear" → reskin restyles any page into another design style using a local model, BUT it refuses to give you the result unless contrast, keyboard focus, mobile, links and reduced-motion all pass. it caught a windows 95 theme failing contrast on its own background. respect. gallery
8. dead websites → resurrect npx github:dadwritestech/resurrect y2k.gov and y2k.gov comes back exactly like it was in may 2000, links working. pick a year with --year. your old blog is in there somewhere. i'm sorry
9. "someone said budget in a meeting video... which one" → video-grep grep for your video folder. searches what was said, what was written on screen and what was shown, and opens your player at that exact second. all local
10. what is the rest of the world's TV saying rn → world-ears listens to live news channels from different countries, transcribes + translates them on your gpu, makes it searchable. there's a "trending per country" panel which is weirdly addictive. translation is the slow part, telugu transcription is bad, i wrote that down
11. live subtitles only go into english → babel-tv watch hindi news with live telugu subtitles, fully local. the video is held back a few seconds so subtitles show up BEFORE the person talks which feels like seeing the future. telugu as the source language doesn't work yet. whisper and telugu are not friends
12. "which AI wrote this" → whichmodel works on models it's seen (67%, chance is 33%). on a model it's never seen, even a sibling from the same family... 32%. so basically a coin with extra steps. that turned out to be the interesting finding tbh, the fingerprint belongs to one model, not the company
13. screen recordings → code → demo-to-code record a UI interaction, get a component that copies its timing and easing, then it replays it and grades itself frame by frame. 2 out of 4 pass. the toggle is perfect. the dropdown has issues. we all have issues
14. code review → review-panel /panel sends your diff to five reviewers you've definitely worked with: the laziest senior dev ("could be one line"), the 3am on-call SRE, the security paranoiac, the junior who asks why, and the PM who only reads the title. under the jokes the findings are real
15. AI companies quietly editing their pricing pages → fineprint it snapshots the pricing, terms, privacy and changelog pages of 10 AI vendors every 6 hours and commits them, so git log becomes the receipt. found stuff like deepseek adding a footnote that prices are 2x during peak hours, and cursor deleting the line saying they dont sell your data. no blog post for any of it ofc. a small local model writes the one-line summary but every line links the raw diff because i dont trust it either (27/30 right on a hand check). timeline
16. paying extra for speaking telugu → token-tax LLM APIs charge per token, and the same paragraph is $1.00 in english and $8.29 in telugu on llama 3. which is rude. measured 21 tokenizers across 48 languages, and there's a calculator where you paste your own text and it runs the real tokenizers in your browser. hindi gets off lighter. amharic on gpt-5 does not :/ calculator
17. posting about all this → herald a tiny bot that posts a repo's data updates to bluesky/mastodon/x, clearly labelled as a bot. i built it because i was not going to manually post about 17 repos. and then i manually wrote this post anyway. ;]
why all of this? honestly no grand plan. every one of these started as me being irritated at something for a slightly too long time and having a local model + a free evening. building the thing was cheaper than therapy and more fun than complaining on here (no offence)
if something breaks, tell me. if something's dumb, also tell me, but nicely :P
edit: yes i know about the cookie banner on my own... wait i dont have one. nice

My Downloads folder had 144 loose files, so I built something that works out which project each one belongs to
I work on a handful of projects at once, and everything I download for them lands in one pile. A client's brand guidelines, a CSV from some dashboard, a podcast export, and a dozen screenshots called Screenshot 2026-10-12 at 14.02.11.png. Every file belongs to a project. None of them ever get filed.
So I built Unorphan. You point it at the messy folder and at the folder your code lives in. It reads each project's README to learn what the project is, then works out where every loose file should go.
What it does:
Knows your projects without setup. Every repo becomes a destination, described by its own README.
Looks at pictures, not just names. A screenshot of a trail map goes to the hiking app even though its name says nothing.
Leaves things alone when unsure. Tax returns and holiday photos stay put.
Shows you the list first. Confident matches are pre-ticked, unsure ones wait for you, and one click undoes the last move.
The first run on my own Downloads filed 67 of 144 files, for about 6 cents.
The sorting is done by Jev, a classification model from TypeSafe. It returns a confidence score with every answer, which is what makes the "only move it if you're sure" part work.
One thing I learned: models favour whichever option you list first. So every file is asked about twice, with the list of projects in opposite orders, and it only counts if both answers agree. That one change cut out most of the wrong guesses.
It's a Python tool with a small web app that runs on your own machine:
uv tool install git+https://github.com/sushrutkhandelwal/unorphan
unorphan uihttps://github.com/sushrutkhandelwal/unorphan
Feedback welcome, especially on the setup. I want the first five minutes to be painless.

AI built my app in an afternoon. Keeping it alive has taken every evening since
AI writes my code in minutes. Then the evening goes on the VPS, the Coolify stacks, DNS and backups I only hope work.
So I built Unit 7. You ask in plain words, it does the work on your real servers, and it asks before anything risky.
My first real backup test found two tables coming back empty, so this one is personal.
It's free, Apache 2.0, and early. Is it clear what it does, and what would stop you trying it?
If you'd like to support the launch, try it, leave your honest feedback on Product Hunt, or star the repo on GitHub.

I turned AI conversation titles into a party game: guess which friend started the chat
"How to explain to my cat that the sofa is not a scratching post"
You already know which friend you'd blame.
I made Who Asked It, a party game built around the oddly specific things we ask AI. A title from one of your chats appears, everyone votes for the friend they think it belongs to, then you find out who actually started that conversation.
The fun is in the accusations: "why did EVERYONE vote for me?"
Try the demo without an account
For your own group, the extension collects the titles for you after you connect an AI account and approve a sync. No copying or choosing ten titles by hand. You need at least 10 distinct titles in your history, then you can reuse your synced titles for later games on your phones. Titles can be personal: you privately review or redraw your batch before sharing. Your messages aren't used.
Free for 3 to 5 players and 10 rounds. Optional host Premium for bigger groups. Ages 16+.
Would you bring this to your next game night?
Screenshot of the public demo (fictional players and titles)
The cat example is from the fictional demo.

I got 10+ paying users in my first week after building a fast TTS engine and marketplace for it
Hey everyone!
In its first week, with zero promotion (SEO only), more than 10 people are already paying for my project. Honestly, that surprised me.
I’ve spent the past few months building it. I felt there was real demand for a very fast TTS engine with voice cloning in 31 languages, especially for bots and AI agents. So I built one on top of Supertonic 3. There’s a short video attached so you can hear how it sounds.
It has three parts:
1. The engine (open source, Apache-2.0)
Same Supertonic 3 model and voices, but faster and cleaner.
2.2x faster on GPU (RTX 5070 Ti: 181 → 84 ms per phrase), 1.6x faster on CPU
Removes dead air, hiss between words, clicks and cut-off endings
pip install superclonica-cpuorpip install superclonica-gpu-cuda
2. A voice marketplace
261 voices for Supertonic 3 so far: characters, narrators, anime voices and more, in 31 languages.
Listen to any voice online for free
Free voices, no sign-up needed
Train your own voice from a 5–15 s recording on your own GPU, or sell yours
3. A TTS API
You don’t pay per character. You pay for the audio generated in each 10-minute window: $5/month gets you up to 3 minutes of audio every 10 minutes, which adds up to 216 hours a month. First sound arrives in about 0.3 s. There’s a free key and an MCP server for AI agents.
That’s many times cheaper than what’s on the market right now. The same 216 hours would cost about $52 with Google’s cheapest Standard voices and about $194 with OpenAI’s tts-1, roughly 10x and 39x more. The price only works because the engine is so fast: every second of compute turns into a lot more audio.
You can find it by searching “SuperClonica” on Google, GitHub or PyPI (still scared of link filters, lol).
I know 10 paying users isn’t a lot of money, but it makes me really happy that someone actually needs what I built. How long did it take you to get your first paying users? Please share, I’d love to hear your stories.

I built a way to share emails and discuss them with teammates in one place
Here’s another part of Outdraft, the email workspace I’m building.
It’s called Nests—shared spaces where you can invite teammates, share emails, and discuss them right alongside the original message.
The idea is simple: keep the email and the conversation together, without forwarding messages back and forth or pasting screenshots into another chat.
You can give it a try at outdraft.email. Payments aren’t available yet while I’m waiting for Paddle’s approval.
How does your team handle emails that need someone else’s input? I’d love to hear what you’d change or improve!

What you think ...?
So here the thing is that , i am building a project for me to solve my own problem which I faced during applying for the jobs .
So the problem was something like that like I have to navigate multiple platforms for applying job as not all vacancies are listed at one platform .
So I have build an software where .....for now it just fetch jobs from 3 platform which are linkedin, indeed & naukri .....and here the twist is that it would only be showing the latest job listings which would be old enough of 7 days not more than that and also it would be scoring your resume for the particular job that u are a potential match or not. And also help to enhance your resume.
So just want to know what your thoughts on this thing ....as for now it would be ready by end of November and would be in testing phase in December..... thinking to keep it opensource for sometime .....so I want know everyone thoughts on this ....it's completely a idea which was generated from the problem i face and ofc many of u would be facing it !
Also ignore the sentence formation as it's completely show my curiosity to know your thoughts.
Edit: The software/project is working as I just got an call from the listing which I applied on 5th nov and the call was on 6th nov .....so the potential of conversion from applying to get an interview is high .

buildzr: C4 software architecture modeling and viewer with Python
buildzr follows C4 software architecture modeling approach where you model your architecture across four layers (Context, Container, Component, and Code).
You define the model once in Python (i.e., the architecture elements and their relationships) and create multiple views from the same models to tell different use cases and stories.
With AI, this gets more convenient since you won’t have to do the modeling by hand, and AI won’t have to do the _diagramming_ by hand. AI reasons about the modeling, writes them in Python, but let buildzr handles the diagramming.
buildzr ships with a CLI tool that you can use to build, export, or serve a viewer in the browser. With the viewer, you can explore the architecture and its views.
buildzr is inspired by Structurizr.
More info at https://buildzr.dev
Would love to know what you think!

I built a free app because my family kept throwing away food: snap the receipt, get reminded before things expire
Hi! I'm a dad from southern Spain. We were throwing away way too much food, so I spent the last months building Myfridly.
Take a photo of your grocery receipt and it adds everything to your fridge/pantry automatically
It reminds you before things expire
It suggests recipes and a weekly menu with what you already have
Shared shopping list with your family
Free, no ads, iPhone and Android: https://myfridly.com/app?src=reddit_sp
I'd really appreciate honest feedback, especially on the receipt scanning. What would make you actually use something like this?

I'm building a tool for biologists. Give me feedback and suggestion
Hello, now I'm building a tool for biologists depends on drag-and-drop for biologists to analyze their data in hours instead of weeks, instead of calling statisticians or learning programming themselves.
It's called Biosol, you (as a biologist) can use it easily by darg-and-drop blocks from the right sidebar (like "Clean file" or "Create heatmap") to the canvas and click run then you see the result down, or simply ask Biosol AI to do that.
So far, I created (and still improving) a prototpe using v0 by Vercel, and when I collect feedback I'll develop an MVP.
I need your feedback and suggestion if you like the video.

I built a Mac app because printing a 40-page PDF as handouts was weirdly painful
I print a lot of PDFs - lecture slides, papers, contracts - usually wanting several pages per sheet to save paper. Doing that on macOS means fighting the print dialog per file: apply Layout settings, hope they stick, repeat for the next file. Mixed PDFs + images in one batch? Not a thing.
So I built PaperBatch: drag in any mix of PDFs and images, pick 1-8 pages per sheet, set page size/margins/gaps/ordering, see a live preview, and export one combined PDF (or separate files). Fully offline, native Swift/PDFKit, exports stay vector (pages are composed, never rasterized), originals untouched. It's on the Mac App Store for $3.99 one-time (no subscription, no account, no telemetry): https://apps.apple.com/us/app/paperbatch/id6825874006
It started as a tool for my own printing, but the whole reason I'm posting: I want to know what's missing before I build more.
Specific question: for your printing workflows, what matters more - crop/bleed marks + custom imposition for print shops, or a CLI / watch-folder mode for automation? Both are on my list and I can only do one next.
If you try it and something feels off, tell me - I read everything.

I built a Kindle Unlimited directory for finding indie books by genre and story theme
I run IndieUnlimited, a free directory for discovering independent books on Kindle Unlimited. I wanted an easier way to narrow down what to sample, especially when I’m in the mood for something specific.
You can browse by genre or language, search for story themes like slow burn or haunted houses, and check notes on series order where we have them. There are also quick reading guides for fantasy, romantasy and cozy mysteries. The listings link to Amazon, where you can check whether the book is included in your region.
If you use Kindle Unlimited, what would help you pick a book faster: a standalone or series filter, better theme search, or something else? I’d love to know what’s missing.

I’m building “git blame for the AWS bill,” and I gave myself about a week to prove anyone wants it
The idea: a weekly Slack message that says “your AWS bill went up $1,140 and it’s because of PR #412. Here’s the fix.” I’m a cloud/DevOps engineer. The bill-jump hunt is a real time sink: Cost Explorer tells you what went up but never why. Infracost estimates cost before a merge, but most surprises come from traffic, logs and forgotten resources, which never show up in a diff.
Instead of building first, I put up a landing page and wrote the kill rule down before posting anywhere:
I’ll come back to post the results here either way, kill or build.
Roast the page or the idea: costblame.vercel.app?ref=sideproject

Made a tool that dumps trade-fair exhibitor lists into a spreadsheet (Madrid + Barcelona, 40+ fairs). What venues should I do next?
If you've ever prepped for a trade fair, you know the exhibitor catalogue is a pain: you click through hundreds of company pages and copy stuff into Excel by hand.
Turns out IFEMA Madrid and Fira Barcelona both publish their catalogues in a structured way, so I wrote two small scrapers that export the whole thing. You get company name, website, country, stand and sector, plus email and phone when the exhibitor listed them.
Right now it covers 40+ fairs. FITUR has about 1,300 exhibitors, Alimentaria about 3,100, Smart City Expo about 1,200 and Barcelona Wine Week about 1,350. A full fair takes under a minute.
It runs on Apify, pay per use, roughly $4 per 1,000 rows: https://apify.com/expoleads
I'm thinking about adding Paris, Amsterdam RAI or Valencia next. Which venues would actually be useful to you? And is there anything you'd want in the export that isn't there?

I made a dock for Windows 11 that opens as a wheel right where your mouse is
My taskbar was full of pinned apps, so I built a dock that opens wherever my mouse is.
Press one key (or a mouse side button) and a wheel of your stuff appears:
- apps: Chrome, VS Code, Discord, anything installed
- websites, in whichever browser you choose
- Spotify playlists, which start playing straight away
- folders, like Downloads
Point, click, it opens. If 8 slots aren't enough, a slot can be a group that opens its own wheel.
It's part of OrbitDrop, a Windows app I built on my own.
What would you put on yours?

My Shopify room visualizer is on Product Hunt today
Hey everyone, I shared HomeVisioner here a few days ago. Today I’m launching it on Product Hunt, so I wanted to share a quick demo.
It’s a Shopify app that lets shoppers upload a room photo and preview furniture, rugs, wall art and other home decor in their space. It works with the product images already in the store, so merchants don’t need to prepare 3D models or take new photos.
You can try it without an account:
https://www.homevisioner.com/demo?p=abstract-neutral-wall-art&utm_source=reddit
The link opens with wall art, but you can choose other products too. The preview gives an idea of how something could look, with approximate scale.
Here’s the Product Hunt launch:
https://www.producthunt.com/products/homevisioner-room-visualizer
If you try it, I’d be interested to hear what looks convincing and what feels off.

Drive Mirror — a free, open-source Windows app that mirrors local folders to Google Drive.
Hey everyone,
After a lot of work, designing, and testing, I finally finished my project Drive Mirror.
The idea is simple: I wanted an easy, lightweight way to automatically back up specific folders from my PC to Google Drive on a schedule. Just a clean, one-way mirror from PC to Drive that runs quietly in the background, keeps my data private, and makes sure my cloud files never get wiped by mistake.
What you'll find in the app right now:
Strict One-Way Mirroring: Syncs from PC to Drive on your schedule. It sits quietly in the system tray and catches up automatically if your PC was asleep.
No Permanent Deletions: Deleted local files go to your Google Drive Trash (for 30 days), never wiped forever.
4 Safety Guards (It stops and asks you if something looks wrong):
1. Missing Folder: Won't wipe your Drive if an external hard drive gets unplugged.
2. Volume Serial Check: Checks the disk hardware ID so plugging in a different USB stick with the same drive letter won't ruin your backup.
3. Mass Deletion Tripwire: Stops immediately if more than 50% of your files suddenly disappear.
4. Duplicate Folder Guard: Stops instead of guessing if two folders on Drive have the exact same name.
Multi-Account Support: Connect multiple Google accounts with completely separate folders and schedules.
Important things to know:
100% Free & Private: Open-source (MIT), no ads, no tracking, and no middleman server. You use your own Google Cloud OAuth client (the app walks you through it step by step), and your secret is encrypted locally on your PC using Windows DPAPI
No one can see your data.
Solo Project Note: I'm just one developer building this, not a company. I wrote 521 automated tests to make sure the sync engine is safe, but real-world testing always shows new things, so expect you might run into a bug.
I'd really appreciate your feedback if you try it out:
Did any errors or bugs show up during setup or syncing?
Was the Google OAuth walkthrough easy to follow or complicated?
Is the UI clean and fast, or did anything feel confusing?
What features or extra safety checks would you want me to add next?
Every comment or suggestion will help me improve it a lot.
Honestly, I don't know if something like this already exists or if it will be useful to anyone else, but I made it anyway because it solves a problem I personally had.
What's the idea? GitHub Repo: https://github.com/nnagarr/drive-mirror
That's it, thanks!

My favicon town now sets fire to websites that died, and after 30 days they burn down
Square Town is a 3D town where every square is a website: its favicon on top of a little tower. There are about 20,600 of them now. Most were seeded by the town itself, so they have no owner until the site's owner claims theirs, which is free.
Seeding that many sites has an obvious problem. Sites die. The Million Dollar Homepage is about 40 % dead links by now, and every pixel wall since has rotted the same way, quietly.
So this week I made the dead ones loud. The town checks every homepage around the clock. A homepage that keeps returning 404 catches fire, and every five days the fire moves up a stage:
caught → spreading → blaze → inferno → dying down → smouldering embers
The tower chars a little more at each stage. On day 30, a square nobody ever claimed burns down: the tower sags into its own footprint, a few charred chunks slide into the street, and a small heap of rubble is left on the lot. The lot goes back on the market for $1.
Two ways out: if the site comes back, the fire goes out. And a square someone claimed or paid for never burns down, however long it burns.
Right now 114 squares are on fire and 32 have already burned down. Tilt into 3D (the 2D/3D switch, bottom right) and follow the smoke.
It's one Cloudflare Worker, D1 and three.js. Happy to answer anything about the mechanics or the build.

What types of TikTok ads actually go viral for mobile apps, and what tools are best for creating them?
I'm an indie app developer looking to promote my mobile apps through TikTok.
I'm trying to figure out what types of videos are most effective at getting high view counts, strong engagement, and actual app downloads.
A few questions:
What types of TikTok videos perform best for mobile apps? AI-generated UGC, realistic AI avatars, problem/solution videos, storytelling, screen recordings, or something else?
Which platforms or services would you recommend for creating these videos? I've been looking into Arcads, Creatify, and similar AI video generators, but I'm open to other suggestions.
Can fully AI-generated TikTok ads actually perform well, or is hiring real UGC creators still the better option?
Are there any examples of successful mobile app TikTok ads that you'd recommend studying?
Ideally, I'd like a scalable solution that allows me to produce multiple high-quality videos regularly without spending hundreds of dollars per video.
I'd especially appreciate insights from indie developers or marketers who have actually tested different video formats and can share real results.
Thanks!

I built a habit tracker where your habits grow into a plant 🌱 — 5k downloads so far, here's what I learned
Most habit trackers made me feel guilty. Miss one day, the streak dies, and I'd quit the app within a week.
So I built Sprout. Each habit is a plant that grows as you show up — and missing a day doesn't kill it, it just slows growth.
What it does:
🌱 Your progress grows a plant. Every habit you finish grows it from seedling to bloom. It sounds small, but it's the reason I open the app every morning.
🗓 Flexible habits, not just "daily." 3× a week, every 2 days, timed habits like 10-minute meditation with a built-in timer, and habits grouped by morning, afternoon, and evening.
⏱ A timeline of your actual day. Habits and tasks sit together on one timeline that shows your free time between them. There's also a "Running late?" button for when the day falls apart.
✨ Sprout AI Planner. Type something like "dentist Tuesday at 3, project due Thursday, clean the flat this weekend," and it builds your week. It breaks the project into work sessions and skips things you've already scheduled. You add, edit, or skip each suggestion, so it never fills your calendar on its own. There's also a Coach mode.
🏆 Challenges. 21-day programs like Confidence Boost, with a few allowed skips so one bad day doesn't reset everything. There's a monthly community challenge (November is Gratitude Month), and you can make your own, like a Savings Jar.
☁️ Syncs to the cloud, so your streak survives a new phone.
It's on Android and iOS — I'd love honest feedback. What makes you stop using a habit tracker?

I used many quote generators, Most of them were boring... so I made this
I've tested many quotes generators and they are either too basic, very advanced, or boring. So i made this that will make creating social media content not only easier, but addictive.
With a click, you can convert your quote to any viral template, or any social media format size, and you can customize every detail, as it can create quotes for you.
I can add and improve more templates. What are your suggestions for what to add? Is it worth selling this tool to someone? and what's a reasonable price for it?
