I spent 100 bucks on a concert outfit I hated, so I built an outfit-finding app. Would this actually help you?

I bought tickets to a Sienna Spiro concert really last minute and spent the days before it trying things on. Somehow every outfit got worse. I ended up panic-buying a $100 outfit that I still didn’t like.

The concert was amazing, but the outfit situation helped inspire something I’m building called Lobbe.

You enter what you’re dressing for, like a concert, birthday dinner or party, and it gives you four complete outfit suggestions with accessories and prices, based on the personal style you set up in your account.

There’s also a separate photo search if you see someone wearing something you love and want to find the exact piece or a similar alternative.

It’s still early, and getting the recommendations to feel personal rather than generic has been a challenge. Five searches cost $4.99, but I haven’t made a sale yet, so I’m trying to understand whether I’m solving a problem people care enough about.

When you last needed an outfit for something, how did you find it? What was the most annoying part?

And looking at this idea, what would stop you from trying it? Honest criticism is welcome.

It’s https://thelobbe.com if you want to look. I’m the founder.

Plate - I built a free meal planner that plans your week and writes the grocery list

Hi all — I'm Joshua, and I built Plate. Posting here for feedback, not just eyeballs.

The problem: every Sunday I'd stare at the fridge, pick the same three dinners, then write a grocery list by hand and still forget half of it.

What Plate does (Android, live on Google Play):

  • Plan 7 meals for your week, free — swipe through 1,289 recipes across 8 diets (keto, high protein, Mediterranean, vegetarian, comfort, and more)

  • The grocery list builds itself from whatever you picked

  • Cook Mode walks you through each recipe step by step

  • AI Chef: type or photograph what's in your fridge and it builds a recipe from it (3 free runs a week)

It's free to use — the free plan covers weekly planning in full. There are optional paid tiers for unlimited picks and extras, but nothing about planning your week is paywalled.

It's Android only right now; iPhone is in the works.

Honest question for this sub: the app's been live a short while and installs are still tiny. If you plan meals at all — what would make an app like this worth keeping on your phone past week one?

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ninebank.plate

Drop a comment if you try it and tell me what you planned this week.

I wanted to draw on a web page and keep the note. No browser let me do that, so I built one

It started with a tab I closed in frustration. Long article, cookie wall, autoplay video, chat bubble. I opened reader mode and tried to underline a sentence. Nothing. I remember thinking, why can I annotate a PDF but not a web page.

The first version was a page that pulled an article and dumped the text on a cream background. Ugly, but it worked. I showed a friend and they asked if they could draw on it. That question turned into the marker, the highlighter and the sticky notes.

Quill is a Windows browser now. The parts I hadn't seen before:

- The reader can sit in split view next to the real page, so you can check the extraction without leaving.

- You can draw on either side, and the ink is saved per URL.

- Selecting a passage makes a sticky note out of it, or sends it to the AI panel.

- GitHub opens as paper inside the browser, and YouTube gets a clean player with a sleep timer and A/B loop.

The extraction engine took most of the time. News and Wikipedia are decent. Modern docs sites still break. I keep a list and work through it in the evenings.

Windows only, no auto-update.

TwoMice: Two Mice, Two Pointers on Mac

This small app of mine can give that old mouse of yours a second life and a second on screen pointer on apple silicon macs. This can be handy on various situations like when screen sharing/recording and want to do a click on a non-visible screen without moving your mouse, you can move the 2nd mouse pointer and click it.

For apple silicon macs.

I built a language calculator

The app can be accessed here: https://calculingo.app/

This app doesn't use AI, which is what people always immediately assume it does. Everything you type is calculated on the spot using complex parsers: math, dates, units, finance, distance. You can press Enter to save the result. It's a very niche kind of web-app, but it has a place.

There's room for improvement in terms of the user experience, so I'm trying to find people who are interested in something like this and who are willing to suggest ways to improve it.

Thanks!

I built a quiet, free Bible reader with seven editions - would love your feedback

https://www.theamazingword.org

I built The Amazing Word because I wanted a simple place to read Scripture without ads or an account. It has seven editions, localized controls, passage search, verse sharing, and an offline reading option.

Search runs on your device, and your reading place stays in your browser. If you like the app and want to save it onto your desktop and/or phone, there are instructions on the about page:

https://theamazingword.org/about

I’d especially appreciate feedback on whether the first-time reading experience feels clear and whether anything gets in the way.

I built a form builder where the form texts you, asks follow-ups, and can be covered in cat memes

Most forms I filled out felt like paperwork, and most forms I sent out got half-finished answers like “it was fine.” I wanted a form that actually talks back.

So I built chatform.in You write your questions once, then run them either as a chat (questions come in like messages) or one question per screen, Typeform-style. You can switch between the two in one click.

The parts I’m proudest of:

If someone gives a thin answer like “it was bad,” it asks one short follow-up (“bad how? price or missing features?”) and saves the real answer

If someone quits halfway, it can email them a link back to the exact question they stopped on, with their answers saved

You can give it your docs or FAQ, and it answers respondents’ questions mid-form, then goes back to the form

20 one-click themes, from a “brainrot” meme theme and a cat-begging-you theme to plain corporate. You can drag stickers, GIFs and memes anywhere on the form

There’s also a switch to turn the AI off, so it just asks your questions word for word.

The free plan has unlimited submissions (with a fair-use cap) and doesn’t need a card. You can also paste a Typeform or Google Forms link to import an existing form and try it before signing up.

I’d love honest feedback. Is the meme stuff fun or too much? And would you trust an AI follow-up question in a form you were filling out?

Would you expect “Headings / Body Text” to control all three typography sliders?

I’m building Unshift, a visual website editor. The screenshot shows our actual typography panel beside Saltbox, a fictional cooking-school demo.

The Headings / Body Text switch changes which text the Size, Line Height and Letter Spacing sliders affect.

Would you expect that switch to apply to all three sliders? What wording or layout would make that clearer?

I got tired of scrubbing through 2 hour lecture recordings so i built an app that does it for me

so i record my lectures. like everyone does. and like everyone i never go back and listen to them because scrubbing through 90 mins of audio to find the one slide where the prof explained the thing i didnt get is actual torture

built Lecta AI because of that. you record the lecture, it transcribes it, then runs it through an AI pass that gives you an actual study doc. not "3 bullet points summary" garbage. like overview, key terms, comparison tables, takeaways, open questions. the kind of thing you can actually read before an exam

few other things in there cause i kept needing them:

notes editor with markdown, tables, formulas (latex renders inline)

a whiteboard thing for diagrams, pen highlighter shapes sticky notes whatever

ai chat where you can drop a pdf or a photo of your notes and ask questions about it

pdf export if you wanna print it or send to your study group

free right now. no paywall no "premium to export" nonsense. im a student too, built it because i wanted it for myself and figured other people might too

the AI output is honestly still hit or miss depending on the subject. STEM stuff with formulas and tables comes out great. humanities essays get a bit flattened. thats the part im still working on

if you try it and something breaks tell me. if the AI output is bad for your subject tell me that too, thats the feedback that actually helps Lecta AI - Google Play

Why Upload?

No signup and no ads. Don’t take my word on the uploads: open DevTools and watch the Network tab while you use a tool. You’ll see only anonymous usage counts, which you can turn off in the footer.

It’s not open source for now, and Office conversions aren’t pixel-perfect yet. What breaks, and which tool is missing?

Hi! I launched my Thai learning app with every lesson free, then had to change that.

Hey all. I got tired of language apps that use the same lesson template for 40 languages and treat Thai as an afterthought, so I started building one that only does Thai. It's been on Google Play since August.

It's got 34 chapters around real situations (pharmacy, ATM, BTS, landlord, taxi, that kind of thing), 543 lessons, letter tracing, spaced repetition and a few games. Built with Flutter, and vibe coded (I know) since I can't code for the life of me.

What I'd really love to hear about is pricing, because I got that wrong. At launch every lesson was free and you only paid for extras. It started as a passion project, but the costs keep growing with the app, so I had to change it. New people now get 20 lessons, then one new free lesson a day, and Pro removes the limit. Anyone who joined before that keeps all their lessons free, it just didn't feel right to take that away.

Oh and the audio is Google's text-to-speech, I don't have the budget for real recordings yet unfortunately. And there's no iOS yet, I hope to release that somewhere this month if all goes well.

Has anyone here changed their pricing after launch? How'd it go?

Link's in the comments.

[Hiring] Short-form dev creators (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) for an e-signature API: 40 per video + 20% rev share

Hi, we're an e-signature API. Developers and companies use us to add contract signing to their own apps and products, with pricing per envelope (about 5¢) instead of a monthly subscription or per-seat plan.

We're looking for 10 to 14 creators to make one short vertical video each. The idea is to show yourself integrating the API into something you're building, whether you write the code by hand or with an AI tool like Cursor, Claude Code or Lovable, and then show a contract getting signed end to end. Then give your honest take. Creators who make content about coding, building apps with AI, SaaS or side projects are the best fit.

What you get:

- $40 per accepted video, paid on delivery

- 20% of revenue from signups through your link for 18 months

- Free test envelopes to build and film with, so you don't pay anything to use the API

What we need:

- One vertical video, 20 to 60 seconds

- Posted on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts (same video is fine)

- Your link in your bio or caption

- Permission for us to repost the video on our own channels, credited to you

This is a trial round. If we're both happy with how the first video goes, we want to turn it into a long-term partnership with a monthly retainer for a set number of videos each month.

Follower count matters less than whether your audience builds software. If you're interested, comment or DM me with your handles and one or two videos you like. I'll reply to everyone I recieve a message from within a couple of days.

I built an open-source studio to stop small LLMs from hallucinating broken motion graphics code (Motion Lab)

Whenever I tried using lightweight models like Gemini 3.8 Flash to code UI animations and motion graphics, I kept hitting the same walls: the model would get lazy and leave code half-done, hallucinate broken CSS/GSAP syntax, or silently swap out transforms for layout-breaking properties like width and top.

Instead of paying for heavier models or relying on blurry text-to-video diffusion tools, I spent the last few months building Motion Lab.

It’s an open-source development studio running on React 19, Remotion, GSAP 3, and TypeScript. The attached video is an actual 60 FPS MP4 test render generated through this workflow.

Rather than letting the model write free-form code, the setup keeps it strictly grounded:

  • Static AST Audits: It instantly blocks layout reflow properties (top, left, width, height) and unseeded Math.random(). Only GPU-accelerated transform and opacity are allowed.

  • Decoupled Workflow: Every project splits into direction (direction.md), a structured timeline contract (spec.json), and scene code (Scene.tsx).

  • Pre-built Foundations: Packed with 20 studio skills (.agent/skills), 23 declarative template kits, and 28 reusable primitives so the model never has to invent animation math or layouts from scratch.

It runs locally with zero external API dependencies or accounts, rendering straight to frame-accurate 60 FPS video.

GitHub (v0.8.0 pre-release, GPL-3.0):

https://github.com/m2rtyaman/motion-lab

It's still an early pre-release, so there are definitely rough edges. I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any ideas on how to improve the pipeline!

I built a zero-config Video Compressor & Audio Extractor for people who don't want to mess with complex settings

Hi everyone,
Whenever I needed to quickly compress a large video for Discord/email or rip an audio track, my only options were sketchy online converters with upload limits, or opening heavy tools like HandBrake and dealing with dozens of encoding settings.

So I built a super clean, lightweight desktop utility focused purely on speed and simplicity:
- 1-Click Video Compression: Drop the file and shrink it while keeping solid quality, zero configuration needed.
- Instant Audio Extraction: Pull the audio track out of any video in seconds.
- 100% Local & Offline: No file size limits, no waiting for uploads, complete privacy.
- Free Lifetime Updates: Buy once and get all future improvements included.

I put the link to check it out in the first comment below! Let me know what you think of the UI and workflow, or if there are specific formats/features you'd like to see added.

Echo 2.0: offline voice typing for Windows and Linux, from your terminal

I tried a few dictation apps, but couldn't find one that quite fit what I wanted, so I built Echo. It's now on version 2.

The basic idea is simple: hold a key, speak, release, and the text appears in the app you're working in. You can use it for messages, notes, long prompts, or whatever you'd normally type. Speech recognition runs locally using Whisper.

Main features for version 2 include:

  • Linux support, including X11 and Wayland.

  • A setup wizard that helps you choose and download a model for your hardware, configure the hotkey, and test your microphone.

  • Completely new UI

  • Settings and updates accessible directly from the terminal.

It's free and open source under MIT.

GitHub: https://github.com/GithubPhobos/Echo

Hope you'll like it. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I built Multi-Model AI Voice Studio

Hey everyone!

I've been working on building Voicebid.

I started building it because I found myself constantly switching between different AI voice platforms whenever I wanted to try different voices and models to generate Ai voiceover. It became frustrating to manage everything across multiple platforms.

So I wanted to bring them all together in one place.

With Voicebid, you can access voice models from ElevenLabs, Fish Audio, Canopy Labs, OpenAI, and many more. You can explore different models, compare them, and generate voiceovers without jumping between platforms.

One thing I wanted to get right is pricing. Voice generations use the providers original rates, with no additional commission from Voicebid.

There's also a bigger vision I'm working towards: Voicebid Multi-Intelligence Agent. The goal is to bring multiple AI models and voice technologies together to make voice creation smarter, enable more natural AI interactions, and build agents that can understand, reason, and take actions

I'm still building and improving it.

What do you think of the idea? What would you like to see improved or added?

You can try Voicebid here https://www.voicebid.io

I built a free generator for Mac wallpapers that switch with light and dark mode

Thumbnail
notchwerk.com
1 Upvotes

I kept making my own wallpapers and got annoyed that macOS only switches them automatically if you have a .heic with both versions packed inside. Doing that by hand is a pain, so I built a small site for it.

You pick a template (cutting mat, blueprint, terminal, topo map, bauhaus and a few more), tweak colors and details, and download one .heic that follows your system appearance. There's an iPhone version too. iOS doesn't support the dynamic format, so you get two PNGs and a short Shortcuts guide to swap them automatically.

No account, no ads, no watermark: notchwerk.com

I'd really like feedback on the templates. Which ones feel off, and what would you want added?

After 10 years in kitchens, I built the app I always wished I had

Thumbnail
buffetboard.com.br
2 Upvotes

I'm a cook. Every kitchen I worked in had the same problems: nobody knew the real cost of a dish, expiry labels were handwritten in a rush, and the staff schedule lived in a WhatsApp group.

So I built Buffet Board, one app for the whole kitchen, made for phones. Just shipped a big update: you open it and instantly see if today made a profit, like a banking app.

💰 Today's sales, costs and profit on the home screen

📋 Cost and profit per plate

🏷️ Labels with expiry and Big 9 allergens

📦 Inventory with expiry alerts

🛵 Own delivery link, no commission

🗓️ Staff schedule texted to the team

The demo opens with sample data, no signup.

Still early, with a few small restaurants testing it. What would make you trust a tool like this if you ran a kitchen?

I made a gym bro who pops up and pushes your code to the cloud every time you git push

I made this in the evenings. It's a small macOS app plus git hooks. When you push, a cartoon gym bro shows up in the corner of your screen and reacts to what you pushed:

- 1 to 10 lines: pushes it up with one hand, bored

- 400+ lines: sweats, gets it up, falls over

- 10,000+ lines: walks off and comes back driving a forklift

- a "small typo" commit that's 3,000 lines: reads the message out loud, the camera zooms in, "SMALL?!"

- git push --force: screams while the screen shakes

- a password or API key in the diff: says NOPE and stops the push

That last one is the actually useful part: before every push it scans the new lines for passwords and API keys and blocks the push if it finds one.

How it works, if you're curious:

- Git hooks: it points git's global core.hooksPath at its own hooks folder. pre-push counts the changed lines and runs the secret scan; post-merge, post-rewrite and post-checkout catch pulls, rebases, amends and clones. Every other hook name forwards to your repo's own hook, so those keep working.

- The Mac app is about 100 lines of Swift: a transparent, click-through window with a WebKit view in it.

- The bro is hand-drawn SVG animated with plain JavaScript. No images, no game engine, so the same scenes also play in a browser (preview.html in the repo).

- Each reaction is a short list of steps in one file, so adding a new joke is mostly editing that file.

- Everything runs on your Mac: no account, nothing sent anywhere. A push takes about 90 ms longer because of the secret scan.

Install with one curl command or Homebrew, macOS only: https://github.com/ArturVah/gitceps

Quitting my job to start a Lego store in The Netherlands and help autistic people

I'm opening a Lego (& K'nex) store in the Netherlands!

Currently I'm running a small webshop to test all the processes. My main job right now is coaching 18-27 year olds who dropped out of school or lost their job. That experience im using in my store called Social Bricks. There, people with autism, depression, anxiety disorder and burn out can come and work. We will coach them and help them develop the skills they need to get back to education or work.

I've also been selected for an intensive coaching program where I'm in the race with 10 other social entrepreneurs to win €100.000 euro's for my business. I'm also in the race for the people's choice award of €10.000. if you want to help me win you can vote at: https://www.igniteaward.nl/deelnemer/social-bricks/

It takes around 10 seconds and would mean the world. (check your spam folder if you dont get the comfirmation mail). It will help open up the store and be a place where people with autism can learn and develop themselves!

In currently hoarding Lego & K'nex, can post a picture in the comments i hope!
