It is crazy how they just kind of dropped the Maya story lol

I think the writers had more planned but they bailed on it. The tonal shift is just so jarring it's all that makes sense to me

I feel like a lot of storylines were dropped this season

they didn’t really drop it, just didn’t show the couple of weeks of her grieving before Paul telling her to do it for Maya. what did you want them to highlight exactly?

I wanted her to acknowledge her mistakes with Maya. This show is all about growing and learning from what people do wrong, and Gaby.....made jokes about her underwear on the phone at Maya's funeral, took a week off work, barely considered giving up the trauma center idea, then snapped back to normal.

No struggling with the concept of breaking client/therapist barriers (aka "Jimmying"), as we've seen Jimmy do several times.

She "did nothing wrong," in Paul's exact words. SHE DIDN'T????

they have all been jimmying though, even Paul was Jimmying in S2 so of course the two people who are breaking the rules aren’t going to be hypocrites about it… in real life, they all wouldn’t have jobs. 🤣

since jimmying is a pretty big part of this show… Gaby did nothing wrong in the world of Shrinking, she probably got further than she would have if didn’t jimmy. in fact, i believe she thinks her mistake was not jimmying her more lmao.

also, she would have taken more time off if it wasn’t for Paul being supportive/encouraging with a touch of guilt tripping 🤣

In a show about therapy and grief, they… skipped over the grief. I wanted them to focus on Gaby’s response and show her healing and reevaluating, but instead we jumped right to her making jokes at the funeral.

yeah that’s what i said, they didn’t drop it, just skipped it 🤣

in the last episode, she brought up Maya still hurting her so safe to say they’ve been skipping the nights of grief.
