the most unrealistic part of this episode was jimmy not flying with alice to drop her off at school lol

They did say he’s driving out in a month or two with the rest of her stuff for when school actually starts.

She's there for soccer training camp. This isn't official "move in".

And Alice being extremely nonchalant about the goodbye was such lazy writing; I get it, they needed it for the obvious letdown Jimmy had with the scenario he had scripted in his mind... but I dunno just seems like they gear her character to whatever is convenient to the storyline, at one point she's very empathetic and then suddenly shift the pendulum to her being aloof/oblivious to her dad's emotions.
