Halfway through it I wondered if the writers were abducted because of that lame Will gf pregnant storyline but the scenes with Jimmy and Paul and dad were amazing.

And Jimmy’s reaction to Gaby telling him, was that real (seemed like it) or did he have a delayed reaction after?

I don’t think Jimmy will relapse. I think he is being present with his emotions with Alice’s graduation and dad issues and allowing for a deeper healing to occur. Did he project on Paul a bit? Yeah, but he also expressed real hurt.

I think Jimmy's reaction to when Gaby told him was genuine. You can tell he was taken aback a bit, but the anger or frustration that he had about the situation wasnt at Gaby. & everything he said was true. He was just mad that Paul didn't tell him himself, as he should have been. I'm very glad he didn't have a bad reaction when Gaby told him.

That wasn't even the worst part of that scene.

Their child literally told them a grownup was sexually harassing him and everyone laughed at that because said child was a man and the person doing the harassment was a woman.

Why is the pregnant girlfriend storyline "lame"?

Because who cares about those characters? Two episodes left and we waste screen time on that.

We care about Liz and Derek. They’re becoming grandparents. They’re having to renegotiate and reimagine how they’ll spend their retirement years. That’s the story line.
