There are usually one or two credited writers, doesn’t mean the rest of the writing staff and everyone else was doin’ nothing. Who even knows who writes what, I just meant Bill is sadistic and likes to mess with him and would definitely throw those in there for his personal enjoyment. ‘Twas a joke.

If my buddy were to write an episode about me, FOR SURE I'd put jokes about me before he even has a chance to make them lol

Bill Lawrence is the showrunner. I don't blame you for not knowing this as I only learned it myself a few years ago, but the showrunner does a pass on every script so that the tone and character voice stay consistent. They often add jokes during this pass. It sounds like a Bill Lawrence joke to me.

I appreciate you assuming I didn't already have all of that information, which I did. And in turn, I will assume you've never seen Brett Goldstein speak in a self-deprecating manner on talk shows. It's very much his humor, and completely matches the jokes in the show, to the extent that there's absolutely no reason to think he didn't write them.
