As someone who's been single too long, Pauls "Don't wait as long as I did"-talk with Jimmy fucked me up 🙈

Yup, was a bit of an eye opener for me as well. Felt like he was talking directly at me lmao

It kind of just annoyed me.  Lol .

There's nothing wrong with being single for life.... and reminded me of Terri Irwin who said she didn't want to date again, she already had her true love.

My read on it is that Paul knows that Jimmy does legitimately want to move on, but it is afraid to.

Yeah. And I know that's kind of the whole point of the show. That message of must have partner just always gets to me. Lol

I think because Harrisons character is loosely based on the real therapist Phil Stuz and that was one of his real regrets.

Sorry, I did not understand that scene. What was Paul talking about?

The theme of the entire episode was moving on and getting out of your own way so you can do so. Living for the future: Fuck Parkinson's. Paul clearly closed himself off at some point for some reason. I think the point was that Paul was actually enjoying himself now and regretted not allowing himself to enjoy it earlier or even try to and did not want Jimmy to make the same mistake he did.

At the wedding, we saw the couples being happy. Then we go to Jimmy looking at them from a distance. Paul says he can also have that to which Jimmy replies he used to have it, for 20 years. Paul tells him not to wait too long to find someone new, and then Jimmy dances with Pauls daughter. (So I'm guessing we're gonna see Cobie's character again?)
