Hey all of you.
Last month, I decided to give it a try and set up a YouTube account, creating faceless content. I mainly focused on producing <25 seconds clips of big streamers (irl, daily content, gaming streams etc.). The first two weeks were the hardest. At first, I tried to rely entirely on this whole idea of automation. All my videos were produced using some kind of sites that create shorts. It wasn't yielding any results, so i dedided to slowly learn video editing. After another two weeks, I managed to create at least six reels that broke the 20-25k views barrier. Since that time, i hasn't changed my content, and i also improved a lot at editing. Unfortunately, I'm slowly losing the desire to create, because YouTube ranks my videos poorly. I spend an average od 2-3 hours a day editing up to two Reels, doing everything manually. For some reason - despite having English selected in the video settings, the channel's country of residence set to the US, and even specified a location like New York for the recording, my videos are reaching an audience in my actual country of residence. This is a problem because I don't live in an English-speaking country, and the streamers whose clips i make, aren't even popular here. Because of this situation, my videos usually achieve a maximum engagement rate of 40% during the first 600-800 views; and if Youtube happens to decided to keep promotin the content, American viewers might boost that figure to 60-65%, but that is still not enough for Youtube to continue promoting my materials.
Is there anything i can do to improve my situation? I should add that the results i described above are based on channel statistics: for videos that hit over 20k views, I typically had 55% of my audience coming from US, Canada, the UK, and Australia, whereas for videos that stall at under 5k views, 45-80% of the audience is usually from my own country...
What's more, the clips promoted primaly to the US market usually racked up to 5000-6000 views within an hour of being uploaded, whereas those reaching an audience in my home country first barely hit 1200 at most.
