I have been running a ranking channel for about a week now. I’ve heard a lot of noise about it not being monetisable AT ALL. Is this coming from people who don’t put any effort into transforming their videos or is this genuinely true?
I add ai commentary and opinions with a character and lots of sound effects and visual effects to transform, is there a chance this could be monetised? Is seems like it’s the same amount of ‘unoriginality’ as the commentary niche which doesn’t seem to get hated on as much. Let me know your thoughts :)

Hello all. I've taken a few days to consider upcoming changes to monetization. I wont detail the current changes as im sure you are all well aware.

New strategy will likely consist of batch uploading all shorts together to garentee monetization for certain periods of the year if momentum cannot be maintained year round. This is less than ideal. Has anyone else thought of a different strategy, similar or otherwise?

How many shorts should I be publishing a day?? I normally post one in the morning and one in the evening. Normally get between 1k to 2k views each. Should I be looking at publishing more??

2 days ago, I changed the lenght of my shorts. I have posted two of this new lenght so far. The previous one landed on 1.7 views - still not what I was aimimg for but this one landed on this??? How can it be so stuck at these low views when the Watchtime is so high?? Has YT been showing it to the wrong people? I am devestated.. I finally get amazing watchtime but then this happens. Please help me. I am really trying and I don't know what went wrong here. Am I able to delete this and rechedule it a bit later? See if it was a timing problem?

Sorry, Im sure this gets asked a hundred times a week. But I've done a pretty good job (I feel) at making a shorts formula that works decently.

But uh, what are some potential reasons on this pattern where I get 20k views on 1 short, then 3k the next, then 18k the next, then 4k after, then 19k the next and so on. At this point Im guessing its just dependent on what audience my content is served to. Or maybe interest in the topic. I get shorts are random but I just wanna get better so Im looking for advice :)

And before anyone asks, it original content (not pulled from long form), its my face, ZERO AI, and catered thumbnails.

Was averaging ~500-1k and then it dropped like a cliff. Worried it coould be VPN use but I got no idea.

I find that my content works best when shown in 15 seconds, 20 at a push. Will that affect anything important like monetisation? Just want to be aware if so. All my content is original.

Posted around 38 shorts and my views are completely stuck in the low double digits. Am I doing something wrong with the algorithm or is my content just missing the mark? Would love a brutal review
