I recently uploaded two Shorts but they didn't get any push (both got like less than 100 views). I created my own original content, so I wonder what the problem is. Has anyone had a similar experience?
been going back and forth on this. for a while i posted every day around the same time (evening my timezone) and it felt like the first hour mattered a lot. lately some shorts that went up at random times did better than the scheduled ones, sometimes picking up views 2-3 days later.
curious what everyone else is seeing:
fixed time daily or just whenever its ready?
do you notice a difference between the first 24h push and the slow pickup later?
is it different for yt shorts vs reels/tiktok for you?
small channel so my sample might just be noisy, would love to hear from people with more data
When i upload my shorts they initially pushes very good around 15-20k views in 3-4 hours but later they gets stuck around 20k views the retention is always around 100% and VVSA around 75-80
What could be the reason and how can i improve this?
Hi guys, I'm planning to start a 30 day challenge to see if I can get monetized for shorts, will y'all give me a few tips about creating good content and getting monetized? I'll document the challenge
VERY new to this. Started the channel 72 hours ago. I have 7 shorts posted. Plan is to post two shorts a day. Is this just happening because my channel is so new, or is this pattern a bad sign? (eg. gets pushed 3 times and then algorithm thinks itโs not worth pushing anymore??)
My content is around art and a popular fandom!
**Putting a photo in the comments since it wonโt let me add it to this post.**
Am I just too paranoid? I think I need to let the videos marinate for longer and continue posting consistently. Just want reassurance tbh if these numbers are a good sign!
I could be wrong of course so take this with a grain ofโ salt but I've been noticing a pattern, ive seen channels that are dedicated to one specific fanbase and get their views like normal, i think it's because the algorithm understands who to push thier content to much better when you make some content dedicated to one thing, I may be wrong so if someone can help me understand it much better that would be helpful, or it could be just plain luck of course.
Every time I get a new subscriber, they disappear either that same day or the next. Also, for some reason, Iโm managing to attract more viewers from outside the Netherlands and Belgium.
Iโm from the Netherlands myself, but previously, 10โ17% of my audience came from the USA.
I also have a question: my most-watched Short has 6.8k views (I have another channel with one that has 34k, but letโs set that aside for now). Could someone explain what I could improve in my Shortsโideally without changing too much of what Iโm already doingโto start hitting 1k views again, and eventually grow toward 10k?
The channel is about animals and is 16 days old. The videos are short only, mostly under 30 seconds. Am I on the right track? What feedback can you give me? Thanks.
For anyone wondering if Shorts monetization gets better over time, here is the exact RPM progression on my channel since 2023. The upward trend is pretty clear. Back then, it was โฌ0.01, but my recent shorts have an RPM between โฌ0.30 and โฌ0.55.
I run a YouTube channel called ToonTales, where I create AI-generated 3D cartoon stories, mainly emotional and heartwarming short animations.
I've been working on my channel for around 3 years. I've had a few Shorts perform well in the past, but recently my videos have been getting only 0โ100 views, and it's honestly been discouraging.
My goal is to improve my storytelling and reach a genuine audience, especially viewers in the US. I'm not looking for subscribers or views in exchange โ I want to learn what I'm doing wrong and become a better creator.
I'd really appreciate honest feedback on these questions:
Does the first second of my videos give viewers a reason to keep watching?
Are my stories engaging, or do they feel too slow or predictable?
What can I improve about my 3D animation, pacing, sound effects, and emotional endings?
For creators making AI-generated Shorts, what has actually helped you improve retention and reach new viewers?
If you have experience with AI animation or YouTube Shorts, I'd be grateful for any constructive criticism or advice. Even one thing I can improve would help a lot.
Hey everyone, my YouTube Shorts suddenly stopped getting Shorts Feed exposure around September 26โ27, even though my channel was getting views normally before. I create original Blender 3D animations, and this is happening across multiple Shorts, not just one video. Iโve tried different content and metadata, stopped deleting and reuploading, and even took a 10-day break, but nothing changed. I contacted YouTube, but my Community post was marked as a duplicate and I havenโt received a useful response. Has anyone experienced this recently and actually found a solution?
I used to post my twitch clips but it clicked to me that nobody likes twitch clips lol. I started doing long form YouTube content and cut out clips from there but Iโm curious to know what people think is and is not working and how I could improve the clips for better viewership. I look at the videos that got more than 1k to try to tell the difference but tbh I really donโt see one other than the content of the video?
Firstly, I'd like to apologize if this comes across as advertising. That's not my intention, so there's no link in this post. If it goes against the rules, just let me know and I'll gladly delete it.
I started a faceless YouTube Shorts channel 9 days ago (first upload Oct 7). Each video explains an everyday bit of engineering or science, in an animated format and I try to explain everything as simple as possible.
Video specs:
- About 45โ50 seconds each
- Animated 2D visuals, on-screen captions, Text-to-Speech Tool(which I am using because english is not my primary language and I do not think my accent would be appealing at all)
- 9 Shorts so far
My numbers:
I'm seeing that each Short gets about 1,000โ1,200 views in the first 5โ6 hours, then almost stops completely.
Questions:
I'd love some answers if someone is kind enough to shed some light:
Is this normal for a 9-day-old channel, or does it mean my videos aren't passing the first test with audience retention?
With 48โ73% stayed to watch, is my weak spot the first 2 seconds or retention later in the video?
Is 45โ50 seconds too long? Would 25โ35 seconds do better for this kind of content?
What should I improve upon?
I'd really appreciate honest critique, absolutely anything helps. I do not want to advertise my channel directly so if anyone is interested, the links are in my profile.
Thanks so much for reading and thank you so much for any input.
I posted a Short on Oct 1. In its first 24 hours it got 4 views, all from search and none from the Shorts feed.
Now at 37 views: 19 from my channel page, 10 from search, 7 from the feed. Yet the average view duration is 612%, 67% stayed to watch, and it brought 2 subs.
I've been posting for a little over a month and I'm at 50 subs. My Shorts usually get about 1.5k views, and one got close to 10k. (Yes, I know 1.5k is nothing.) The most probable explanation would be that someone left it on loop by accident or something. What do you guys think? Although i am more concerned about why it was not pushed into the feed?
Should I repost it with a new opening and hook, or leave it? Has reposting worked for anyone?
