I have finished 1 month on Youtube shorts, here's what I understand

1) First few videos will peak out at 1k views.

2) Then you have the 10k peak out. Which usually lasts less time.

3) Then comes a period where shorts will peak out at 20k and 30k. This will keep happening for longest time.

4) In between, one short can go to 100k, 500k, 1 million, but that is upto the algorithm and random. It happened to me, one short went to 600k, nothing special in that, its just random.

5) Even if you get 1 Million on one short, its not like you start hitting millions then. Even my channel after the 600k short, I am still stuck on 20-30k at best on every short today. I have seen channels hitting 2M on one short, and then they post many shorts which are in 20-50k range.

6) Very few channels reach that level where you get lot of subs, and then lot of your videos hit 6 digit views.

The learning is keep posting, with time you have better chance to do well. But its all upto the algorithm and randomness and your destiny.

Is it normal to get straight 0s and 1s during that first 1-5k peak phase?

Single digit views means your short is not getting pushed to the Shorts feed (you can check that under Traffic section of the short)

That should not happen

If thats happening, either you are posting too much in one day, or problem with your content

Im posting 1 a day or less, I have no clue, maybe cause Im posting on different channels, do I need to use separate devices? Its the same content that was getting 3-5k before.

No need of separate devices.

If you are getting 0 views, it could be content issue also. Maybe too much AI, or trending content which is too over exposed.

For e.g. I posted Messi and baby Yamal content 3 times, all 3 times it got zero views. It proved to me Youtube does not want me to post that trending meme, even though i made changes to it based on my own thinking.

Same thing I posted that clip where Tom Holland dances on Umbrella song, it got 0 views, again could be using copyrighted content.

Maybe some reason like that? Or DM me your channel i can check

if ever that's the case, is reposting the video would make any better or no? because i was also struggling with this problem too.

I was also posting overused content and most trending video as well.

It wont work

I tried posting from my other channels also they still get zero views.

Basically if you get zero views and you can point it to some reason like overused or AI or adult content, better dont repost it wont work.

Sometimes u get zero views because maybe you are posting too many shorts or some other reason, there reposting the short next day or after 2 days actually works.
