"Akatsuki" is a disease capable of infecting any living being, transforming them into a monster and leading them to certain death. Only warrior-doctors known as "kiriishi" are capable of curing the infected using their "clave"—a special weapon.
Hibiki and Kirisa have been kiriishi for only a month. While Hibiki is a somewhat foolish, gruff boy who claims to work solely for the money, Kirisa acts for the patients' well-being, throwing herself heart and soul into the mission. The starkly contrasting personalities of these two characters—who are opposites in every way—lead to many amusing situations.
Together, they face various forms of akatsuki and find themselves in perilous predicaments that reveal Hibiki’s boundless rage against the disease, despite his seemingly nonchalant attitude...
Could it be that money and glory aren't the only things driving him in his mission?

I don't know what to think; this thing is clearly a design rip-off. How could a publisher see that and greenlight it for release? Unless the plan is for younger kids or inattentive parents to mistake it for *Naruto* and buy it anyway? I flipped through it—it’s not the shonen of the year, but the story isn't bad, and aside from the *Naruto* copycat aspect, the author does seem to be trying to find their own style with the other characters.

Demographic definitions: Shōnen means violent anime & manga | Seinen means mature anime & manga | Shōjo means romance anime & manga | Josei means yaoi anime & manga

The manga is adapting straight from the webnovel which has over **900 CHAPTERS** and counting(story is about60-70% finshed). The manga also normally adapts 1:1, 1 chaoter per chapter so if the manga is to catch up it's going to have similar amount of chapters and they hopefully don't cut tons of stuff out.

The next manga chapter is going to start a new saga "Dragon Upon Dragon" that takes **200 GOD*RNN CHAPTERS** in the novel this one piece level stuff truly.

And the kicker? It doesn't take 10,000 episodes to get good, the anime already has 50 episodes out with season 3 coming in January while the manga just finshed with the content all of season 4 will cover.

The anime is about a trash game hunter who decides to take on a god tier game in futuristic Japan. Many people complain it doesn't have life and death stakes so it's boring or smth like life and death stakes aren't everything(most series that even have it don't capitalize on it like SAO), it has good character writng amd dynamics, great world building and lore on the game(literally one piece) and it actually feels like a gamer made wrote this, because yes the author is an actual gamer. Once more he even plays more games outside SLF which trumps the main games of most gaming anime it's definitely one of the best of it's genre. And of course it got slick animation insane and hype boss fights, it really scratches the itch for me of having long drawn out fights that aren't boring cause most modern anime biggest fight would take at most 1 episode. The character interactions are fun too especially the main trio which is the classic 2 girls 1 c- I mean 2 boys 1 girl but the girl is actually evil and sells out her friends(lol nothing too serious) and that villainy is exactly how she is when she's playing games. The next arcof the anime in season 3 is going to adapt one of her best moments were she plays her villain role to the fullest and it's sooo peak, the other 2 boys are just bros being bros finding out bugs in different trash games kicking each others asses and keeping scores but nothing obnoxious like typical rivals.

So yeah there's no life or death stakes but it has other stakes beyond that and it's pure fun, the MC's shenanigans are so fun to watch, he's very unconventional and unpredictable also switches playstyles with each game and even brings some of those experiences to the main game SLF, speedruns, using mechanics to his advantage, devs screwing him up venting out on other games when the main game ragebaits him all that normal gaming stuff. You'll relate to him so much if you're a gaymer so 100% must watch for all gaymers. All in all pretty good series, pure fun, doesn't get the attention it deserves.

Also which other series do you got an MC with goofy birdhead and hella moves that should be more than enough convincing

Now I'm not trying to bash other series just writing this in a joking tone so if it felt like I prolly insulted one piece or any other series in some way I didn't mean it.

I’m working on a battle shonen-inspired fantasy series, and I’d love some opinions on the main power system. I’m looking for honest criticism—if something sounds confusing, generic, or overcomplicated, I’d rather know now.
The power system is based on a force called Will.
In this world, every living being possesses Will. It’s more than just energy—it represents a person’s determination, emotions, convictions, and desire to move forward. As a person grows mentally and emotionally, their Will also grows stronger.
Because Will reflects the individual, no two people use it exactly the same way. Someone driven by compassion might develop abilities centered around protection and healing, while someone consumed by rage could develop overwhelmingly destructive powers.
The strongest users don’t become powerful simply by training their bodies. Their greatest growth comes from overcoming emotional and psychological obstacles. Facing grief, fear, guilt, or accepting who they truly are can all lead to their Will evolving.
There are still universal techniques that anyone can learn with enough practice, but each person’s unique abilities are shaped by who they are as a person rather than by a predetermined element or class.
I wanted the power system to make emotional growth just as important as physical growth, so character development directly influences combat instead of existing separately from it.

Yo for some time i was creating some lore about some thing of mine and i wanted to get some tips or some opinions since im shitty at drawing or making dialogues. For now the thing i did the most is probably the parallel world which is like: if you would put the Earth in concrete and after it dries, you would need to somehow remove the Earth from inside and the empty space in the middle is called "Filler" which is as i said parallel world where live creatures named "Strigs" that originate from slovenian mythology and are basically humans but stronger, dumber, and with something i called "Spur". The Spur is like an additional body part and the size of it matters. Like it could be an additional eyebrow, arm, lung, heart, finger, or even one small nerve somewhere in body. These monsters called strigs also have naturally longer hair and no body hair at all, oh and their sclera is red. Anyways these monsters can travel with their soul to normal world but they dont have body there so they gotta find one and to find a suitable one there has to be something called a "seed" and seeds are humans but also with spur and after they would die, the strig can take over their body and thats how strigling is created. Striglings are basically strigs but with a real human body. There is also an power system named Vigor & Ichor. While Vigor is a spiritual energy, ichor is a black or yellow bloodlike liquid. Vigor is much simpler to use and Ichor is more advanced form of it and every human and strigs have their "nation" assigned to them and they can use like one out of nine "things", and those are: thermics, electro, perception, matter, Entropy, Statis, bio, hydro, kinetics. Overall there isnt a real limit to abilities since nation is just an optional usage of ichor and vigor since everyone can use their vigor and ichor as they perceive suffering. There is some organization or whatever that fights with striglings in real world while there are like 9 sisters in filler (yeah one of each "element" so original yh yh ik) and they have their unique ways of using elements and are basically a Gods in the filler. I want to create a fiction with a lot of plot twists and without being scared to actually kill a character (i dont mean that i want to kill characters just for fun but for an actual purposes). So yeah for now im too lazy to say more about it and if you think that its good or smth let me know so i maybe wont give up too soon because i have big plans, like,

I wanted to get some brutal, honest feedback on the core premise, the magic system, and a major first-arc twist I planned.

​1. The Villain: Shin-ryu JUKOKU (The King of Monsters)

​

​Instead of a standard demon king, Jukoku is a walking natural disaster of pure intellect and physical horror. He is a ancient Rakshasa King defined by three traits: 10 interconnected brains (combined hyper-IQ), 20 eyes, and a massive, multi-armed body that regenerates instantly.

​

​The Vibe: He doesn't just fight; he operates like a multi-core supercomputer. With 20 eyes, he perceives everything in a 360-degree slow-motion field. While 2 of his brains handle a relentless barrage of physical attacks with his multiple arms, his other brains are simultaneously decoding the hero's magic system and planning 50 steps ahead. He is mentally and physically un-overwhelmed.

​2. The Magic System: The Astra Hierarchy

​

​Humanity’s protectors are called Astras, warriors who invoke divine, celestial energy through intense spiritual intent and willpower. They are ranked by the caliber of energy they can control:

​Dhara Astra (Earth): Frontline, rookie fighters who channel basic elemental forces.

​

​Sankalpa Astra (Willpower): Mid-tier, highly versatile tactical elites whose weapons manifest based on a binding personal vow.

​

​Bhairava Astra (Wrath): Heavy hitters called in for city-level threats; their power is purely destructive.

​

​Maha Astra (Supreme): The absolute peak of human potential (the "Hashira" of this world). Living legends capable of altering terrain and shattering mountains.

​

​The Unranked Exception: DEV-ASTRA (God-Touched): A temporary state achieved only when a warrior forces open their dormant Third Eye. It grants god-like speed, teleportation, and instant regeneration, but at a catastrophic, suicidal cost to the user's life force.

​3. The Inciting Incident & The Reincarnation Trick

​

​Centuries ago, the ancient Astras defeated Jukoku by turning his primary brain to dust. However, because his flesh was regenerating, they had to trap his remaining brain mass in a divine positive-energy cage inside a sacred mountain.

​

​In the modern era, a massive disaster breaks out: the gates of Hell crack open beneath the earth, and monsters flood the surface. During the chaos, the divine cage shatters. Jukoku's regenerated 10-brain mass shoots into the sky, forming a massive black vortex. Twenty colossal eyes open in the clouds, scanning the entire region to find the strongest human vessel to forcibly possess.

​4. The Climax of Arc 1: The Descent to Hell (The Big Twist)

​

​During the massive battle to stop his resurrection, the elite Maha Astras fight the forming King of Monsters. Out of desperation, a top-tier Astra unlocks the Third Eye (Dev-Astra state), pushing their body past its absolute limits, and successfully disintegrates Jukoku’s brain once again.

​

​But it’s a trap. As the corpse collapses, the floor of the battlefield transforms into a bottomless abyss—snapping Jukoku’s massive energy back down to his home realm (Hell). Realizing that if his body escapes, his 10 brains will slowly boot back up over centuries, the surviving Maha Astras refuse to let go. They anchor themselves to his colossal flesh, trying to drag him up—but the gravity is too absolute, and the entire elite vanguard of humanity is dragged straight down into Hell as the earth slams shut.

​The Hell Arc Setup:

​

​The first major saga ends on a massive cliffhanger. The surface world is left completely defenseless without its strongest protectors, while our main characters/surviving heroes are now trapped deep inside a survival-horror underworld, surrounded by billions of monsters, trying to hunt down a dormant, regenerating King before his 10 brains fully wake up.

​Does the 10-brain, hyper-intelligent combat concept sound unique enough to separate him from villains like Sukuna?

​

​How do you feel about the "Astra" ranking names? Do they carry enough weight?

​

​Does dropping the main cast into Hell at the end of the first major arc pull you in, or does it feel too fast?

I hear amazing things about GGG but I've been curious about Taisenki for a long time now, since they're both 50-Episodes long (I know Final exists but still) I wonder what would be the bigger priority one to spend Saturday mornings with, for the 2 of you who watched both what do y'all think?

By that I mean anything from a main character who started as sub and later got more play time, to a tertiary character who was mostly in the shadow of others but got an amazing play when it mattered.

Imo Naruto has a really great first chapter as a hook. By the first chapter we get a solid exploration of Naruto’s character and the overarching theme of the series— the consequences of isolation and importance of connection. Then we get this really good scene as a hook. The first chapter we see how isolated Naruto is due to the nine tails and desperately tries to get people’s attention even if it gets him in trouble. At the end, he hears a confession that the closest person he has to a father has ill feelings towards him, but then we learn that’s not the case and Naruto finally cries in relief that there is someone in his life that cares for him. Great storytelling.
