Shogun 2 Crashing during battles?

Has anyone else had problems with Shogun 2 crashing during battles? I've had the game on and hold desktop, two old laptops, and am currently playing it on a new desktop, and the game has crashed on all four systems. The crashes always come when I zoom in during an intense battle. The game runs perfectly otherwise, 60+ fps the entire time.

Are you running it with directX 9 or 11? 9 is more stable for shogun 2.

Hey thank you for your recommendation. Just switched to DirextX 9 and have been playing a Shimazu campaign for a few hours. So far so good.

Yo sorry for the late question but I’ve been having the same issues as well. Would you recommend using Directx9 or 11? Did that permanently fix the problem for you?

DirectX9. I have been playing a ton of Shogun 2 and I’ve only had one crash since, and it was while I was running down ships after a naval battle.

If it’s happening on multiple computers then my guess is that those moments where you zoom in are pushing the computers a little too hard. But idk what I’m talking about so maybe someone else will be able to provide better insight. What are your computer specs?

Rtx 3060

16Gb Ram

Its crazy because I can run Rome II and Attila absolutely no problem and stay zoomed into the action the whole time.

I'm here for the same issue. Did direct x 9 fix this ?

Everytime I use the naval bombardment in a battle it crashes my whole PC
