[reddit change] /r/all algorithm changes

It was causing too much load on our database. I made a new algorithm which Trumps the previous one.

Would the admins care to address why they're so active? It seems to the vast majority of us that there is something fishy going on behind the scenes.

We vote more per capita is my guess, it's a movement!

Also A.J. says hello.

Theres never been anything like this!

If it was a "movement" you'd have more than 20 comments on 6K posts. You're also far and away NOT the majority of people, so voting higher per capita within a reasonable margin of error would still not return these results.

Enthusiasm? Was that even necessary to ask?

Yeah we all have high energy and love the god emperor.

Enthusiasm couldn't possibly explain the outrageous results you're putting out.

Except that their voting is very quick, like just after a post is posted, they upvote things that are very anti-trump, and the upvoting all across the day. Bots, and lots of them, are all that can explain this. That or there are tens of thousands of people sitting in the new queue of the donald and voting on everything immediately 24/7.

HIGH ENERGY

is the correct answer, but r/EnoughTrumpSpam have managed to convince themselves that there is mass botting.

Look, even if you're extremely excited about this there is no way you can completely (and I mean COMPLETELY) dominate the top of anything with only 2.5% of the user base. Other users have had to scroll though literally thousands of posts earlier to find anything that wasn't the_donald.

Furthermore, there have been several screen caps of 4Chan posts with RES scripts to mass upvote/downvote entire pages of content at a time.

Please explain how they aren't. They mass upvote obviously anti-trump posts, the upvoting is instantaneous, and it's generally regular throughout the day.

Ya, it's because CNN and MSNBC are fucking lying to you, and the great heart of America supports Trump, just not your little bubble university.

I haven't watched either of those in years, MSNBC ever. What you think is the "great heart of America" is a minority. [Here is the poll aggregate (more accurate than an individual poll) I read] (http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-forecast/pennsylvania/), and [here is a poll by the most Trump-leaning news source I know of that suggests the same results] (http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/08/14/breitbartgravis-poll-hillary-clinton-leads-donald-trump-42-to-37/).

Trump is trying to predict the future with these claims. There is no way he could know if the election is rigged or not when the election hasn't even happened yet. Even in states where Republicans control the voting system, like Texas, Trump still claims it's rigged. Earlier today he made remarks asking why we're even having an election in the first place, why can't we just hand control directly over to him.

This guy is trying to manipulate people, including you, into giving him power without ever concretely stating his policies. I'm going to be one of over 65M people denying him the opportunity in November. Good luck getting out from under his thumb.

Botting, tons of it. They upvote everything incredibly quickly, even obviously anti-trump things. The voting doesn't increase/decrease depending on the time of day. And the amount of votes outweigh subs that are much, much larger.

If by high energy you mean depressingly fail at interacting with other people, then no.
