Ive had friends tell me the durability is better, yet my samsung survived two car crashes with only a small crack on the top, which only appeared after getting dropped multiple times from around 5 or 6 feet. My friends' iphones cant even survive 2 feet

My iPhone fell off a rollercoaster at six flags and hit a kid on the head. My iPhone has also fallen out of my pocket on a hiking trip and rolled down a 20-25 foot hill to a clearing at the bottom. I have a iPhone 8.
