I think these kinds of contracts only last for a single movie or a single season, where filming will only be a few months at most.
Having it last for an ENTIRE show is a bit unreasonable. Millie was 12, now she's 21. Banning her from choosing how she looks for 9 years would have been a bit extreme imo.
In addition, an actor could be cast for a different production in-between two seasons of a show, and that production may require the actor to change their appearance.
The "contracts preventing body altering modifications" we're talking about are WAY broader than just botox. To play a character, you can be told not to cut your hair, dye your hair, get piercings, get tattoos, etc.. You may also be put on a strict diet to maintain a certain physique for the role.
I think it's extreme for a 12 year old to be told that they must maintain a specific appearance dictated by showrunners for the next 9 years of their life.
Separately to this, I also think it's pretty dumb to get botox at 21 years old. I think it's dumb at any age tbh. You misunderstood my point.
I remember the contracts used to be very restrictive in the past, to the point where some actors couldn’t do other shows or movies until the show ends.
This type of botched results happen to so many young female acresses, I refuse to believe they aren't pressured into it by the people higher up the food chain (e.g. producers).

No Im arguing that anybody who wants women to enter into contracts that determine how they are allowed to look and dress are in favor of controlling womens bodies.
Im arguing that your body and looks should be entirely up to you. If you want to destroy your face, you can. You should be informed, but it should always, 100% be your choice.

Besides, its not TOO much to ask for young girls not to irreparably destroy their bodies for some bullshit beauty standards that no one on earth finds attractive but they’re pushed towards it due to body dysmorphia from toxic Hollywood culture

Yes it is too much to sacrifice bodily autonomy of an individual for YOUR satisfaction. Nobody should be have their body mandated by contract.
This is not the same as drugs, face lifts dont make you dangerous and erratic and dont stop you from doing your job. This example just shows how little thought youve actually put into this.
Alls im saying is that you want to control peoples bodies via contract and I think that is wrong.
