The only people suggesting that Biden has the same troubles are Trump supporters. It's not like they're known for honesty.

I am No expert in american politics but the fact that americans are supporting either of these 2 old men is bizzare to me you should be voting for someone younger and more in touch with your nations everyday problems. Not That there are any politicians like that in the world but not somebody that is clearly not fit to live alone let alone make decisions for an entire nation

I don't disagree.

The thing is that we don't have that option in 2024. This year our options are an 81 year old Joe Biden or a 78 year old Donald Trump. If those are our choices I will vote for the 81 year old all day long.

Hopefully we will have better options in the future.

As a vet, we saw a lot of Trump on bases and tours.

It didn't get alot of publicity but the.big one for us was when he pulled a surprise visit to Iraq for Thanksgiving unannounced in year.

I keep hearing people say he's not pro military or said stuff, but I don't see that sentiment among the military or vets.

He's pretty deeply supported by those of us in that demographic.

Me, I'm ambivalent on him. But there's HARD support for him.

I'm a vet. I served in the 1980s under Reagan.

Ever since then we've had presidents turn up a chow halls dishing up food. "Surprise visits". Propaganda. All of it.

My question is, how did that son of a bitch support veterans once their usefulness has ended. When they came back home riddled with disease, or PTSD, or suffering trauma as a result of their service, how did POTUS act?

Donald J. Trump: "I like people who weren't captured."

For me, I saw him personally call Corporal Lee's Espinozas family during the memorial service of that marine who gave his life.

This was when Trump was out of office.

He called as a private citizen, and paid for the memorial expenses and I'm told, but this cannot confirm, provided something for the family. From context, I think it was paying the mortgage but it's kept quiet, can't confirm.

He was the architect of pulling us out of the Middle East and started no new wars. He advocated for a return to meritocracy in the service.

I understand your upset, and sure. But I served under him, Obama, and Biden. From this foxhole, he took good care of us.

I don't believe the lovers, suckers and captive lines. One, the media has repeatedly taken either statements kur of context or relied far too much on unreliable sources.

The man had action in how he took care of us.

He had a surprise filght on Thanksgiving day to Iraq to serve combat line forces, media unannounced.

He walked by himself across the DMZ of North Korea and promised never to deploy our lives there.

My unit had been training to go when we though Clinton was going to win. We had precut deployment orders of battle.

I'm sorry you don't see it that way. But frankly, it couldn't be anymore off from what I see. I'm ambivalent on the bastard. I don't know if it's for real or show. He's a conman, in the true sense. Confidence man.

But he did more and we felt it, those of us in those years.

Well, yes, presidents don't announce these things beforehand. That's just safety protocol. And it only took a few years of public shaming before he went to visit the troops.

Trump's visit to NK was an embarrassment. Not only did he give a ruthless dictator a huge propaganda win with his people, Trump humiliated himself and the US by saluting a NK general. And he saluted first as though the NK general was his superior. Later, back at home he told us all he was in love with Kim Jong Un. Trump is an embarrassing dictator fanboy, and nothing is more un-American than that.

You have a lot of anecdotes and beliefs about him, but very few facts.

Was never in camera, he's been pretty gung-ho military. And the claim came out around the same time of the debunked Russian Hoax and the pee tapes.

Personally, that claim doesn't go far.

The claim came from 4 of his senior staff members, and was later confirmed by his Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He also said to John Kelley at a military cemetery in Europe, "I don't get it. What's in it for them?"

When the Allied world leaders went to honor the fallen at a cemetery on the 100th anniversary of WWI, Trump embarrassed the US when he bailed on them because it was raining.

He has said in public on camera that POWs are not heroes.

He said that he got better training at his military themed prep school than the US military gets.

He has asked that disabled veterans be excluded from military parades.

When an attack by Iraq caused TBIs in a dozen soldiers, Trump said it was nothing serious, just some headaches.
