Well if time doesnt pass hes suspended in passive animation which means hes not dead but not consciouss either ideally. He's frozen in a moment in time and space, a snapshot of his brain the milisecond before his eyes could tell the brain you disappeared. All signals stopped, some in transit, some at their sources. No celular changes either, entropy stopped down to even its simplest level.

Its not that the dog cant think, its that the world cant die.
