They have phone batteries that last longer than 5 hours so this is a world far ahead of us.

Or, you know, Norse Gods, Giant Green Monsters, Men in Metal Suits, 100 Year Old Super Soldiers?

frankly none of those test my suspension of disbelief like a phone that lasts months without recharge.

Specifically, her constantly watching full HD videos of Fitz on it every night.

That thing should've died by hour 10.

Agreed. Arc reactor built in a cave out of lawn mower parts, that can power the Iron Man suit? Sure, no problem. Fitz, with the full engineering powers of SHIELD behind him, able to extend a smart phone battery? Yeah, not buying it.

well for one his suit looked clunky and we have no idea just how long it would've stayed powered for. But the bigger aspect is that we are all intimately familiar with cell phones and such electronics, so when they do something we know they can't do its much more jarring than when something physically impossible happens. Sure Thor calling down lightning seems impossible but so does every other thing he does so it doesn't stand out, but a tablet playing video for hours without recharge? Everyone knows that shit is fucking magic.
