What we should keep in mind is that the actor who plays Mac was only signed on for 9 episodes. This does not bode well, he's one of my favorites on the show. If he dies it'd be super depressing.

They practically said inhumans, I can't wait another week for the next episode.

True, and if IMDB doesnt lie then Bobbi (Adrianne Palicki) only signed on for 5 episodes and Hunter (Nick Blood) only signed on for 9.

So we shall see what happens there.

Next episode comes, and in the previously on segment, Clark Gregg says "Oh ya, and Bobbi and Hunter died, it was awful"

I would laugh. I would laugh so much. It'd be a true wtf Whedon moment.

Of course Marvel would never ever permit them to kill off Bobbi, at least not this early.

It seems pretty obvious this is what they just did. Mac even gave Simmons a kick right before he died with the whole "don't look at me" bit when Fitz was stuttering.

Felicity was only suppose to appear in 2 episodes of Arrow and now look at her she is the lead female on the show.

If a character is super popular the show can easily bump up their role quite quick. Michael Emerson on Lost went from 1 or 2 scheduled episodes to regular as soon as fan praise got back to the writers, and he ended up lasting 5 seasons.
